Dream Tickets are particular items that are given away for special occasions and they allow you to obtain one copy of any Ultra Rare (UR Dream Ticket) or Super Rare (SR Dream Ticket) card in the game, saving you up to 9000 Gems.
Dream Tickets do not expire right away, so waiting before using them is generally a good idea. With that being said, let’s get to our suggestions.
Rating is mostly based on how the card is performing right now, its versatility and chances of staying relevant in the future. |
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon | DARK Dragon ★4 ATK 2500 / DEF 2000 |
Phantom of Rebellion [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes half its current ATK, and if it does, this card gains that lost ATK. |
General Rank 4 Xyz Monster for players to use so far. Its effect essentially lets you deal 2500 (its own ATK) damage if this attacks the monster you targeted. The advantage is that your opponent's monster's ATK is also lowered, allowing you to attack over it with your other weaker monsters.
Book of Moon | Quick Spell |
Chaotic Soldiers [UR] Selection Box Vol.04 [UR]
Target 1 face-up monster on the field; change that target to face-down Defense Position. |
Always a strong card to have. Can be used to disrupt your opponent and dodge from backrow disruption for your monsters. However, it might be less useful when it comes to Link Summon Era, who knows? We will see at that time.
Mystical Space Typhoon | Quick Spell |
Antinomic Theory [UR] Selection Box Vol.03 Mini [UR]
Target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy that target. |
A General Popular Spell Speed 2 Backrow Removal in this environment. Deals with your opponent's backrow so that you can more safely summon your monsters.
Cosmic Cyclone | Quick Spell |
Galactic Origin [UR] Selection Box Vol. 01 Mini [UR]
Pay 1000 LP, then target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; banish it. |
There has always been a need for back row removal in Duel Links, and the option to do it at Spell Speed 2 together with the synergy with various Skills, provided by its own activation cost, are the main reasons why this Quick-Play Spell is at the top of this list.
Forbidden Lance | Quick Spell |
Valhalla Calling [UR] | |
Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the end of this turn, that target loses 800 ATK, but is unaffected by the effects of other Spell/Trap Cards. |
Forbidden Lance can be used to ensure one of your monsters is able to attack through a Drowning Mirror Force, it can prevent it from being destroyed by Treacherous Trap Hole, or from being flipped face-down by Floodgate or Canadia.
Floodgate Trap Hole | Normal Trap |
Generation Next [UR] | |
When your opponent Summons a monster(s): Change that monster(s) to face-down Defense Position. Monsters changed to face-down Defense Position by this effect cannot change their battle positions. |
Floodgate Trap Hole is less versatile than Paleozoic Canadia, a card that is often compared, but it also locks the opponent’s monster it flips face-down.

Number 70: Malevolent Sin | DARK Insect ★4 ATK 2400 / DEF 1200 |
Photons of Galaxy [SR] | |
2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3. |
General Rank 4 Xyz Monsters nowadays. Works well against opponents that only have 1 monster on the field. Even better if it's an XYZ monster since it will remove all their materials, or if it's a monster that says that it can't be special summoned in the card text.
Steelswarm Roach | DARK Fiend ★4 ATK 1900 / DEF 0 |
Photons of Galaxy [SR] Selection Box Vol.05 [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters During either player's turn, when a Level 5 or higher monster would be Special Summoned: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the Special Summon, and if you do, destroy it. |
Roach is great for monster suppression, much like a Trap Hole card. When your opponent summons a boss monster, use Roach's effect to immediately destroy it. This is an especially good counter against High-Level Monster Summoning, especially Mekk-Knight, Galaxy, Odd-Eyes, or Synchro Decks. But most of the time, just Roach's presence on the field is enough to deter the opponent from making big monsters.
Forbidden Chalice | Quick Spell |
Servants of Kings [SR] Selection Box Vol. 01 Mini [SR]
Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the end of this turn, that target gains 400 ATK, but its effects are negated. |
Forbidden Chalice is a versatile Quick-Play Spell that can be used to prevent your opponent from searching Dark Contract with the Gate via D/D Savant Kepler. I consider Chalice an incredibly underrated card, and also a really solid pick for anyone who doesn’t have at least one already.
Lightning Vortex | Normal Spell |
Sign of Harpies [SR] Selection Box Vol.05 [SR]
Discard 1 card; destroy all face-up monsters your opponent controls. |
Karma Cut | Normal Trap |
Arena of Sanctuary [SR] Selection Box Vol. 02 Mini [SR]
Discard 1 card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; banish that target, then banish all cards with the same name as that monster from your opponent's Graveyard. |
A pretty good monster removal that also has an added benefit of removing multiple copies of them if they're also in the graveyard. Great against the mirror match, or other decks that uses same name monsters, but good in general too.
Treacherous Trap Hole | Normal Trap |
Visions of Ice [SR] Selection Box Vol. 02 Mini [SR]
If you have no Trap Cards in your Graveyard: Target 2 monsters on the field; destroy those targets. |
Treacherous Trap Hole is arguably the most powerful Trap Card in the game. Despite the fact that it currently faces a lot of competition from other Semi-Limited cards, Treacherous is played in a variety of decks, some of which you wouldn’t even expect it from, and that is thanks to its ability to shut down certain strategies and completely turn duels around.

It should go without saying that, if you already have, just to make an example, three copies of Mask Change and two copies of Masked HERO Anki, but you don’t want to dive back into Valiant Souls, you can get yourself the last card you need for you deck: these are just some suggestions and ideas to make your decision easier.
