Protects your monster from Spell/Trap effects.
Quick-Play Spell.

Cons

Debuffs 800 attack from the monster.

Tips

You can use this card on any face-up monster. So you can use it on your opponent’s monster to debuff it or use it on your monster for the protective effect.
You can use this card to give your opponent’s monster Spell/Trap immunity when your opponent wants to use support on it. On top of disrupting your opponent’s play, their monster will lose 800 attacks.

Anti Self-Destruct

Use this on a monster that is attached to Future Fusion, Birthright, Limit Reverse, etc. when the Spell/Trap card is destroyed so that you get to keep the monster.

So let me get this straight if your opponent use two spells or trap cards they can by pass this card right? Like my opponent use 2 karma cut and it went through anyway. So lance protections only works for one spell/trap and not multiple?

The card that is chained last gets to activate first before lance activates

This card is so useful, especially with so many people running back rows nowadays.

You will not believe how many people try to get rid of my boss monsters by using Karma cut or just trying to run it over, only to fail.

how come canadia slipped by this?

my opponent had 2 backrow, i synchro summoned, i believe he used raigeki break, i chained with lance, then he chained with canadia and my monster was down, was it because canadia was chained to my lance activation?

Forbidden lance cant chain to Drowning mirror force in duel link, which it should be able to.

No, it can chain. OP probably forgot to activate auto chain or had his toggle set on OFF

How is lance B+ while dress is A-? Lance has seen meta-play for a while now, and is obviously the best card of the two. Seems stupid to me.

Help with a situation involving this and counter traps:

Let's say I summon a monster and I want to activate its effect (the effect is not upon summon) then I get suspicious my opponent has counter traps then before activating effect I use lance in my monster, What happens once I activate my monster's effect?

*The c. trap activates but doesn't do anything?
*My effect is negated but my monster doesn't get destroyed?
*My effect is negated and the monster is destroyed anyways?

To make it clearer: my monster's effect doesn't activate upon summon (it is a Beat), I activate Lance before doing anything else once it resolves I then activate Beat's effect, would counter traps work on him?

You must first use a forbidden lance on your own Beat, then chain forbidden chalice on the Beat.

Now it will be protected from Ultimate Providence.

Yes, your Beat would be immune to counter traps, just remember to resolve Lance first (in its own chain) don't chain it to your effect in question. If your monster had an effect upon summoning i.e. Samurai Skull the you wouldn't be able to use lance (counter traps are spell speed 3, lance is spell speed 2)

Used this on Vylon Epsilon equipped with Vylon Segment, yet Epsilon still could not be targeted by effects. Someone explain?

Segment does not really affect Epsilon, it just has an applied effect while equipped to it. You would have to negate Segment to target Epsilon, which is not something Lance does. If equipped card was something like United We Stand, than Epsilon would not gain attack from it, because it directly affects it.

Aditionally, if United We Stand also said that equipped monster cannot be destroyed by battle, you still could not do that after using Lance. If you Lanced hero targeted with Mask Change, it would not go to the grave and opponent would be unable to summon from extra deck. Because sending monster to the grave is directly affecting it.
