As Yami Yugi is a character that could be play in the beginning of the game, a field spell “Yami” provides advantages to a new player and for a deck constructed with Fiend and Spellcaster-type monsters which is quite easy to obtain. As basic monster such as “Element Doom”, “Element Magician”, and “Element Soldier” are rather easy to obtain from The Ultimate Rising pack. → Power of Dark: deck recipe
Should be level up to 20
Yami Yugi will obtain the skill “Sorcery Conduit” which is essential skill to play with “High score Cerberus deck” for farming high duel assessment score, though most of Yami Yugi reward cards from leveling up are not so useful for constructing a deck in general. → High Score Cerberus: deck recipe
Gate Key will not be spent for him
It is suggest that gate key should not be spent on him (including Yami Yugi level 40 deck), unless the player plans to collecting cards or make a specific theme-combo deck with “Dark Magician". → Dark Magician Combo: deck recipe
"R” rarity reward cards from dueling Yami Yugi is quite useless, since there are other stronger high-level monster that could be utilize instead of “Gaia The Fierce Knight”, “Curse of Dragon”, and the magic card “Thousand Knives” which can only be use with a deck that contains “Dark Magician” only.
For “UR” and “SR” rarity card reward, the magic card “Mystic Box” seems to be best card that could be utilize with other deck. However, there are other cards in the current card pool that has an effect of destroy target monster on the field as well.

How to get skills
There are two ways to acquire skills: level reward and duel reward (drop skill). For details, check our skill database.
Recently got a drop on Yaoi Yugi, don't have a photo currently. The ability is called "Balance". Your starting hand becomes representative of your deck. Ie 25% magic and 75% monsters, your starting hand is always 1 magic/trap and 3 monsters ^^
Idk man, I'm running a Spirit Monsters deck atm and a second Mystic Box is greatly appealing to me. Aside from that, I think that Chimera decks have some potential as well, but haven't given it a shot yet.
