Your starting hand will reflect the card balance of your deck. This Skill will not activate unless you have at least 6 of each type of card (Monster, Spell, and Trap) in your Deck.
Can be used each time your Life Points are at 3000 or below. Play 1 "Proto-Cyber Dragon" on from outside of your Deck for every 1000 Life Points below 4000. "Proto-Cyber Dragon" played with this Skill cannot be Tributed or used as a material except when for Fusion Summoning. This skill can nly be used once per Duel.

Destruction Swordsman Fusion

Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster that lists "Buster Blader" as Material from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or either side of the field as Fusion Materials. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard; add this card to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Destruction Swordsman Fusion" once per turn.
Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman
LIGHT Warrior ★8
ATK 2800 / DEF
Generation Next [UR]
1 "Buster Blader" + 1 Dragon-Type monsterMust be Fusion Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card cannot attack directly. This card gains 1000 ATK and DEF for each Dragon-Type monster your opponent controls or is in their Graveyard. Change all Dragon-Type monsters your opponent controls to Defense Position, also Dragon-Type monsters in your opponent's possession cannot activate their effects. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.
DARK Spellcaster ★8
ATK 2900 / DEF 2400
Crimson Kingdom [UR]
"Dark Magician" + "Buster Blader"Must be Fusion Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. During either player's turn, when a Spell Card is activated: You can discard 1 card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. This card must be face-up on the field to activate and to resolve this effect. This card gains 500 ATK for each Dragon-Type monster on the field or in either player's Graveyard.
This Level 7 monster can be easily Special Summoned from your hand during your opponent’s turn by chaining its effect to the activation of one of your Spell/Trap Cards or effects, it provides an additional body on the board to protect you, unlike Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman, it can attack your opponent directly and, since it’s treated as “Dark Magician” while it’s on the field, you can even use it as material for Dark Paladin.
Sphere Kuriboh can avoid OTKs, it allows you to manage your Life Points more easily for Destiny Draw and you can even chain Magician of Dark Illusions’ effect to it.
Buster Whelp of the Destruction Swordsman is a Level 1 Tuner that, when Normal Summoned, can add a “Destruction Sword” card from your Deck to the hand; this card is used primarily to add the Quick-Play Spell Destruction Swordsman Fusion to your hand, but you could also search Buster Blader, the Destruction Swordmaster with its effect since, unlike the original Buster Blader, he is also part of the archetype.
You can Tribute Buster Whelp to Special Summon a Buster Blader from your hand or Graveyard; this effect can Special Summon Buster Blader, the Destruction Master from the Graveyard, since its name is “Buster Blader” while he’s on the field or Graveyard, but not from the hand.
If you control a Buster Blader, you can Special Summon Buster Whelp from the Graveyard by discarding a “Destruction Sword” card, giving you access to the Level 8 Synchros Stardust Dragon. Keep in mind that you can only use one of these last two effects per turn and only once during that turn, which means that you can’t Special Summon a Buster Blader or Buster Blader, the Destruction Master by Tributing Buster Whelp and then Special Summon the Level 1 Tuner from the Graveyard with its effect.
Emblem of Dragon Destroyer offers the possibility of adding a copy of Buster Blader to the hand from your Deck or your Graveyard; the second part prevents it from becoming a dead card once no more copies of the Level 7 Warrior-Type monster are present in the Deck.
Destruction Swordsman Fusion is essentially a Quick-Play version of Polymerization that can only Special Summon Fusion Monsters that specifically list Buster Blader as Fusion Material, meaning Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman and Dark Paladin, but, unlike Polymerization, it allows you to use as Fusion Materials monsters from your hand or either side of the field.
It's pretty clear already that this is an amazing card: it can be searched by Buster Whelp and, if you combine it with DNA Surgery, you can use it to Special Summon Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman while also getting rid of a monster on your opponent's side of the field.
Destruction Swordsman Fusion obviously doesn't target nor destroy, which means that Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon can't provide protection against it and, thanks to the incredible rise in popularity that Blue-Eyes has seen after the release of the Structure Deck The White Dragon of Legend, it's not always going to require DNA Surgery to be effective.
If all of this wasn't enough to convince you of how good this card really is, its secondary effect allows you to add it back to your hand from the Graveyard by discarding a card, similarly to Gem-Knight Fusion.
You can only use each effect of Destruction Swordsman Fusion once per turn, which means that you can't add it back to your hand after using it via its effect and utilize it again.
Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman and DNA Surgery are a very powerful combination of cards that can essentially shut down a good portion of the current top-tier decks; Buster Blader locks all Dragon-Type monsters on the opponent’s side of the field into Defense Position and prevents them from activating their effects and this Continuous Trap can turn all monsters on the field into Dragon-Type monsters.
Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman gains 1000 ATK and DEF for each Dragon-Type monster the opponent controls or is in their Graveyard, it can’t attack directly, but its effect does give it piercing damage.
Dark Paladin allows you to negate the activation of Spell Cards by discarding a card; this effect is not limited to a “once per turn” use like Wiz, Sage Fur Hire or Silent Magician. You can Special Summon Dark Paladin using either Polymerization or Destruction Swordsman Fusion and King of the Swamp and Buster Blader as Fusion Materials.
Cosmic Cyclone is one of the most effective, if not the most effective, forms of removal we have in the game due to the fact that it banishes the card it targets, pretty much permanently getting rid of cards such as Amazoness Onslaught and Sea Stealth Attack, which might otherwise cause some trouble when going on the offensive.
The activation cost for this Quick-Play Spell gives it synergy with Cyber Style, the Skill we are using, and, thanks to DNA Surgery, it gives us easy access to multiple Dragon-Type monsters that can then be used to Fusion Summon Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman.
Buster Blader can really appreciate the increase in consistency this Skill can provide. With Destiny Draw, you could even argue you don’t need three copies of DNA Surgery.
If we do not consider Diamond Core of Koa'ki Meiru, Koa'ki Meiru Maximus is easily the most important card in the deck. With Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman on the field, Maximus can’t activate its effect and it’s forced in Defense Position. The biggest issue you might encounter in this matchup would be Koa'ki Meiru Ice, but not all versions run it.
Destruction Swordsman Fusion can easily get rid of the vast majority of the monsters this deck runs without even having to rely on DNA Surgery, Buster Whelp of the Destruction Swordsman gives you direct access to the Quick-Play Spell and Emblem of Dragon Destroyer can search Buster Blader or recycle it from the Graveyard; consistency is not an issue anymore and the only things I’d worry about are Cosmo Brain and Treacherous Trap Hole.
Vampire decks rely on Vampire Kingdom for removal and, in order to activate its effect, they need to either inflict damage to the opponent’s Life Points with Vampire Lord or, more commonly, activate Vampire Grace’s effect; the combination of Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman and DNA Surgery can almost entirely shit down Vampire decks, but Treacherous Trap Hole is still an option and, given how fast an consistent they are, I can see them winning more often the matchup.
Masked HERO Anki can’t attack as long as Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman keeps it in Defense Position and Vision HERO Witch Raider can’t get rid of DNA Surgery with its effect either, but Destiny HERO Decider is enough to prevent any your high Level monsters from attacking the opponent and Cosmic Cyclone is a fairly common card in Masked HERO decks, especially after Hey, Trunade! ends up in the Semi-Limited List. Masked HEROes are fast and, thanks to Masked HERO Anki’s ability to search Mask Change from the Deck, they definitely have the upper hand, but I can see Buster Blader winning with the right combination of cards.
Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman prevents Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys and Yubel - Terror Incarnate from activating their effects, but the protection from destruction by battle and battle damage of the latter are a Continuous Effect, so essentially you can’t attack get rid of it; your best bet is probably ending the duel early by attacking into a face-down Fire King Avatar Yaksha.
Turning all monsters on the field into Dragon-Type monsters essentially means that a Spellbook player can’t activate some of their most important cards (Spellbook of Fate), making them significantly less threatening; Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman can freely destroy Silent Magician since its Silent Magician LV8 would just be turned into Defense Position after being Special Summoned, but it’s also true that a Turn 1 Silent Magician can prevent you from activating Destruction Swordsman Fusion or Polymerization.
