The trap card curse of forbidden spell wasn't working right

The trap effect of curse of forbidden spell when it activates the opponent can't use that spell card again for the rest of the duel but someone hacked it or something because the opponent I played awhile back used it after I stopped the spell card with curse seal of forbidden spell can yall check it out.

Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell prevents your opponent from activating new Spells with the same new. Continuous and Field Spells that are already on the field or get on the field by other effects can still be used. The is true for Equip Spells.

Otherwise, please provide more information.
