Bound wand and mirror force

Could somebody explain why bound wand did not resurrect my dark magician when it was destroyed by mirror force? Mirror force destroys a card by card effect... So it should work right?

I don't know. Did your opponent plays necrovalley or cards that prevents from being summoned form the GY?

To answer the question: Yes, it should work. Maybe some other effect prevented you from special summoning Dark Magician.

No mirror force destroys when your monster attacks, not by destruction effect.

Dark hole is an example of destruction by an effect.
