Once per turn, during the Standby Phase: This card gains 500 ATK. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Spell Card is activated: You can negate the activation. If this card is destroyed by battle, or if this card in its owner's control is destroyed by an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Silent Swordsman" monster from your hand or Deck, except "Silent Swordsman", ignoring its Summoning conditions.

Some people on reddit were saying that the amazoness version still works well for them without SSS when they just added more traps. If you try it the other way, losing the princess slows it down. But I still want SSS. So I will try it both ways and see how it works after the list hits.

As solid as Silent Swordsman is, there is almost no Warrior type monsters in the current card pool that have disruption/destruction effects. We'll just have to wait a while longer if we want to see this deck really shine.

Silent Swordsman will only get better in time. Konami will eventually give us a Top Tier warrior deck that can abuse Silent Swordsman.

Well SM still can benefit from Spellbooks, Breaker, Lyla and even GK's Recruiter. They basically killed SS Amazoness before it was even a thing with the Banlist.

Yeah, I hope we get some warrior archetype that Swordsman can benefit like how Magician did.

I was hoping that we can get Heroic Challenger cards early before Xyz. Felt that HC might be strong enough even without Xyz just like how Noble Knight is.

The problem is, Konami may plan to release HC along with Nistro once/if Zexal is released.

Silent swordsman>Silent Magician as you can run lyla,breaker and clear back row but rhere is no warrior cards that can clear backrow and you still have to use sss just to keep silent swordsnan alive for 1 turn only and next turn they will canadia you.
