It has a synergy with both LIGHT and DARK.
There are better options other than Dark Blade tho

Only a few idiots at plat 1 with desert twister or insect uprising (like me), but nothing more. So yes, now JBM is pretty useless.

Considering we only have like 3 more Level 4 1850 ATK monsters that can be reasonably brought into the game (Beast Strike, Evilswarm Zahak, and Mechanicalchaser), we are going to be moving onto 1900 ATK beatsticks pretty soon
