This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:● This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each.
[Insect Uprising] You can use the skill when you control 3 or more Insect-type monsters. Decreases the ATK of face-up attack position monsters your opponent controls by 800. You can only use the skill once per turn.
Same thing here. I ended up using my SR from the KC Cup on it out of frustration (although now I wish I had a prismatic ECon). Same problem with Joey's Gilford the Lightning for the longest time, but I finally pulled it earlier this week.
Your still using up a normal summon. You would have to special summon it than normal summon it.
Managed to get one of these from a level 30 Weevil after only doing one prior hard farm with Cerb (approximately 7k each time) and was very happy. Unfortunately, have been having 0 success farming Odion for Millenium Scorpion.
A few tips to play with Grasschopper and Insect Imitation.
Tribute Blue Dragon Summoner to Special Summon Grasschopper, and get free 1 Normal Dragon/Spellcaster/Warrior monster. Thin your deck by 2 is a bonus. If you tribute Embodiment of Apophis, you can Normal Summon Grasschopper and get its effect in one turn! Grasschopper deck carried me to platinum.
I've grinded Weevil countless times and still haven't gotten this. I wish he'd hurry up and give me one. I've been using Insect Imitation with Millennium Scorpion, and it's been awesome, so I can only imagine how good Grasschopper with its 2350 ATK and multi-attack effect will be.
The new Gemini-based Card Trader cards might be good for it too. I should look into that.
u can active next turn after u do normal summon. i have 2 of this and its op for 5 star.
You all need to know that this card is SO bonkers for how easy is it to summon.
All you need is a Spell called Insect Imitiation and a level 4 mon of ANY type and attribute (not even limited to Insect type) and you summon this instantly from deck turn 1. AND it has a freaking 2350 Attack and a powerful effect that not even Stray Lambs can save you.
You have very good odds of being able to get it on turn one. All you need is insect imitation and any 4 star. If you're going second, then you have 5 cards to work with. Even better odds. If you put your deck together well you can easily get it first turn like, 70% of the time. Most people run cards that can easily eliminate big monsters anyway so an easy to get -
- 2350 monster that can burn through potential tribute monsters is probably better than running some giant 7+ star that's just gonna get hane hane'd anyway. It's only one tribute. Super easy to get out - pretty high attack and highly versatile since it can act as a normal monster too. Suspect a Relinquished deck? Keep it normal and set an order to charge down.
