The setup you need to make revolves around 3 cards A Legendary Ocean, The Legendary Fisherman, and Spirit Barrier. All other cards in this deck are for consistency boosting or for your last turn Gravekeeper's Vassal combo.
When A Legendary Ocean is on the field you can summon The Legendary Fisherman without tribute and he cannot be targeted by spell cards effects or targeted for attacks.
Syrus will still be able to attack you directly. To prevent us from losing because of this, we use Spirit Barrier so that his direct attacks will do no damage while The Legendary Fisherman is on the field.
Planet Pathfinder is used to search out A Legendary Ocean, your skill Reinforcements are used to search out The Legendary Fisherman, while crystal seer is used to excavate into whatever piece is missing from your combo.
Use Magical Mallet to return the cards you don't need back to deck and draw the same amount of cards you returned.
You can use The Legendary Fisherman to attack Syrus' defense position monsters to maximize your score. But do not deal battle damage to Syrus as this will lessen your final Duel Assessment.
Remember to use Anti-Magic Arrow during your final battle phase to prevent Syrus from using No Entry.
Send to the Graveyard, from your side of the field or your hand, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a "Vehicroid" Fusion Monster Card, and Special Summon that Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) The Fusion Monster Special Summoned by this card cannot be destroyed by the effects of Spells, Traps, and Effect Monsters, and its effects cannot be negated.
"Steamroid" + "Drillroid" + "Submarineroid"A Fusion Summon of this card can only be conducted with the above Fusion Material Monsters. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent.
This card can attack your opponent directly, but when it does so using this effect, the battle damage inflicted to your opponent is the original ATK of this card. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked or was attacked: You can change this card to Defense Position.
Set Blue Dragon Summoner to bait Shield Crush and to get Blue Eyes. Use Bubonic Vermin to stall or to Tribute Summon Blue Eyes. Use Magic Jammer to protect your Blue Eyes from Earthquake or Shield Crush.
I'm using this Aromage Ra deck. It works pretty well, and the gameplay is really easy. You can add another draining shield if you have it because it really helps if you don't get the field quick. Jasmine draws your deck pretty fast, and Rosemary can take out most of Syrus's monsters. Use the E.Cons to change the position of a monster on the last turn. Always leave one of his monsters face up for that matter
I just pulled my final card, I hated Syrus this time around...the amount of SR cards made it really hard to pull the 3 Armoroid and Jetroid. I hope this is the last Syrus event unless they refresh the prize pool.
Easy win. With Backup Squad, AI wont attack you unless he can one shot you. And with Temple field or you increase LP too much, he will never attack. Well unless he can make you run out of card, but that what those stall card r for.
Massive morph = opponent boss monster can't attack you since you have no monster + higher LP drain (if you play kiseitai). Furthermore, if opponent has only single boss monster, wod not that useful. It's pros and cons actually but more variety = able to deal with diff situation
And I'm getting all the other cards, I just need one more expressroid and it won't drop (2 were gotten last event) even though it's only 400 attack it adds from the graveyard so may be good for polymerization
aromage-ra works fine, im using 3 jasmin, 3 rosemary, 3 garden, 1 carrot, ra, 3 spell absorbtion, 1 arrows and some econ and super rush. rush and econ are for defending and to draw with jasmin during syrus turn.
