  • Can't be activated during damage step, which gives room for your opponent to counter/negate it.


Best card to use Inverse Universe is with cards like Big Shield Gardna. It has high defense and automatically switches to attack position when it's attacked, letting you activate the trap when he is targeted again.

Similarly to Big Shield Gardna, you can use cards that have high attack but low defense to trick your opponent into attacking them when they are switched to defense. Cards that automatically switches position can benefit from this.

Wall of disruption can make all opponent monsters look like hinotama.
On the other hand, inverse universe can make their monsters stronger. Not to mention it also affects your monsters.
At least wod sees some ransom play.

Pros : This card could be activated anytime after it was set on the prev. turn. Note that several deck such as gaia would be unable to use its effect ( or forced to) if you active the effect.

Cons :
-Also affect your monster.
-Only affect effect monster
-Switching attack means some card might actually get benefit from it.
This card seems useful with megalith

Does this card works on effects that passively increase attack too?
Like Lunalight Saber dancer or Dark Cavalry that says "for each x card gain attack".
Will this trap make them increase defense instead of attack?

Lowly F2P's question remains unanswered. As it should. No one wants people like you in this game.

Start using "payable" cards instead of these kind of "un-payable F2P" cards, and only then will we answer your questions.

Why are rich people so aggressive?

To answer this guy's question, I believe Inverse universe works the same way as Magician girl's halving. If this is correct then no matter how much cards are in the gy, they will stop gaining atk or def.

does this card work against Shiranui?

The good advice you mentioned, could it be about:
no one is currently using this trap against Shiranui because they are going to force you to activate it before the battle phase and then Synchro with their 0 atk monster anyway? Effectively making this trap useless?

Because this is currently the ONLY card that I could think of to not lose against Shiranui.

Its probably becuase squiresaga. Shiranui usually clear your backrow before even start attacking. I believe you will at least make squiresaga has 0 atk, but your opponent probably has 2-3 backrow ready and spectralsword in GY. He will just spam squiresaga each turn until you run out of backrow, while maintaining combo from banished shiranui. In the end, the effect is work, but not that effective.

I'm kinda sure that if this trap cards instead had the effect:
put all Red-Eyes/Blue-Eyes to 0 atk; those guys would have had to at least respect you. Meta or not.

Shiranui on the other hand just say:
You put me to zero? I will ignore you anyway.

Konami made Shiranui broken on purpose so as to motivate people to buy it. Especially those who have already spent all their gems on their main archetype like Lightsworn BE, Dark Lord, etc.

If you want to win then buy Shiranui even if you have no gems.

If you find losing fun then you may save your gems.
Actually this card CAN be used during the damage step. I've used it twice now at the start of the enemies battle phase.

Well well well what do we have here
I want to try this card with Ancient Fairy Dragon.
- Monsters affected by "Inverse Universe" have their ATK and DEF switched for as long as they are face-up on the field.

- You can activate "Inverse Universe" during the Damage Step, but not during damage calculation.

- If the ATK of a monster is being changed by an Equip Spell and "Inverse Universe" is activated, the ATK and DEF switch, but the Equip Spell does not reapply its effect to the new ATK. When the Equip Spell is destroyed, the ATK and DEF of the monster do not change. New Equip Spells will modify the new ATK.

Feels like Floodgate Traphole but for different purpose or strategy!
