Who should buy this deck?
This structure deck focuses on Silent Magician monsters making it an easy way for people to build a Silent Magician deck, without pulling through hundreds of Echoes of Silence packs. Gold Sarcophagus is a great way to search out any card from your deck and banishing them face-up could give you some cool interactions. Definitely a good addition to any Exodia decks, Mill decks, or any other decks that need that extra search without minding to stall. Also good for decks that can bring back their banished cards, to immediately make use of the search. The non-LV Silent Magician can be considered both a boost and a counter to Spellbooks. As a Spellcaster-type monster she has a Natural Synergy with Spellbooks, and with Spellbook's ability to keep hand advantage you can always keep her at a decent attack. Conversely, when used against a Spellbook deck she can efficiently stop Spellbook of Fate making the opponent's Spellbook deck much less threatening.
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 Spellcaster-Type monster, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card gains 500 ATK for each card in your hand. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Spell Card is activated: You can negate the activation. If this card is destroyed by battle, or if this card in its owner's control is destroyed by an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Silent Magician" monster from your hand or Deck, except "Silent Magician", ignoring its Summoning conditions.
So dudes, I decided to destroy the myth behind Silent Magician and the "pay to win" issue; I tested if it was true, so I choose Cyber Angels, a Spell based deck. Took out Saffira and started playing, and guess what EVERY SINGLE TIME I FACED THAT POOR WIFE, I ENDED WINNING; because she's only able to negate spells ONCE PER TURN.
How do you say the card is too op?
I don't bother if these EX packs become series, they are exclusive cards for fans, who want to support the game. No one is forcing you to buy it, because it's not by any mean "Overpowered".
So that's it, even Handicaped, with a Spell-based deck, and NO SAFFIRA AT ALL.
You can win against Silent Magician.
And these haters, yeah, these people that keep complaining. I'm afraid they have never played duel links; but they keep hating, trying to boycott the game for no reason.
Anyway, leaving these raging and incoherent folks aside, I wish you all happy dueling !
Also the guy has a point. Just because SM can negate spells only once per turn, doesn't make it less powerful especially if you consider what else the deck can do in terms of lockdown. Also it's true that good SM players don't let themselves get baited as easily so they won't always negate the first spell they come across. It doesn't matter if the comment was "rude", it's still valid.
