Do you have a space to Special Summon a monster? Are you attacking on the same turn you set Magician's Circle?

I got my 🔥 beaten up by Vagabond using a Maiden of Macabre + Alchemist of Black Spells combo. Given that the latter has only 1200 ATK and has to constantly be switched from ATK to DEF for this combo to work, can someone suggest some cards that can grant a little bit of survivability?

Why? It's not even good atm?

She's REALLY good, and if you can keep her on the board, she can quite quickly murder even high level monsters. Shame that PvP will always find a way to punch her down one way or another. She can also work well with Armor Exe since one way or another, you'll wind up getting at your opponent's life points, be it using Armor to destroy Gross Ghosts or using Maiden to cut through everything else and keeping Exe on the board by sacrificing her spell counters that she'll accrue each turn.

Buffed by Yami, takes advantage of all sportscaster support cards, gets bigger when you 🔥 monsters with it, or if you add counters to it.

This tramples Dunames under Yami (who is debuffed but yami), and is probably a 2100 attack monster by the second turn on board.

Only downside is defense 0, but it's liveable.

Which is a shame that it is rated so. One of the few Spell Counter cards that doesn't get Counters from Spells and can power over most lv 4s with just 1 SC. I admit to using it less when Crusader/Endiyum (however you spell) came around, but still an excellent Spellcaster.

I honestly think this spellcaster is one of the better ones we have currently.Especially because of the 200 atk boost for every monster destroyed.
