Pros

Although allows your monster to directly inflict damage on life points of your opponent, the amount of damage will be small since the ATK of the monster is less than 1000.
Very useful in OTK (One Turn Kill) decks such as Karate Man, Piranha Army or Gravekeeper's Vassal.

Cons

Only useful in OTK deck.

Tips, related cards, skills

Always activate this card first before buffing them with attack up cards if you want to do OTK methods.

Union Attack

Use this card to make the final attack and reach the maximum damage you can get along with other combo pieces.

Gravekeeper's Vassal

Activate the effect of Secret Pass to Treasure to this card to make the final attack directly to your opponent, then you can now buff this card to have enough damage to deal the massive blow.

Piranha Army

This card's effect can be easily triggered by the use of the Secret Pass to Treasure, making it's damage double. Use cards such as Gift of the Martyr to increase this cards attack.

Gift of the Martyr

Using this card to buff up your monster that will deal the massive blow (Sacrifice other High ATK monster on your side of the field). Just be sure to use Secret Pass to the treasure first to enable that monster to attack directly incase there is a monster on your opponent's field.

Rulings

A monster that is targeted by this card is still be able to conduct a direct attack even the ATK of the monster is increased to over 1000.

I use Mythical Beast Cerberus to get loads of ATK, then summon Gravekeepers Vassal. I use Secret Pass To The Treasures while Vassal is still at 700 ATK. Then I use Union Vassal to deal at least 10,000 damage with a good High Score Cerberus Deck.

Yep. Control 2x 001 and 1x 009, target 009 with this card, then activate 009's effect.

Instant OTK.

It's even better once we get their Pendulums, as 007 and 008 gains 500 ATK for every Deskbot card in the Graveyard making them potentially even better than 001, while 005 and 006 can be used as Scales to easily get 009 into the field.

And you also can use 005 and 006 as Pendulum Scales to bring out 007 and 008 as well alongside 009.

Why is this card Semi-Limited I don't get how it could be meta with the specific cards you'd need to get decent damage off of it

Lv 3 is just barely low enough, then you could play 3 Slash now you can't sense both are Semi-Limited, Weird I played during then, and didn't think of that at all

You can substitute it with shooting star starbow-ceal, but you have to decrease your equiped monster to 1000 atk

This, Shield and Sword, Big Shield Gardner and Magic Arrows?

Is it just me or does this card sometimes fail to equip to gravekeeper's vassal sometimes? it happens randomly, and ofcourse I activate it before buffing vassal so he's still only 700 atk

im having the same problem farming pegasus, i think it may be related to "summoner of illusions" effect, the card seems fine until i play the summoner.

Fits well into a Cyber Stein deck if you combine it with Riryoku. Depending on the situation you can OTK with BEUD or OTK with Stein bypassing monsters, although with a lower attack (which would still be over 3k lmao).

Is this card broken sometime? I did exact what been told put it on piranha first then active gift ad ryu but when I atk it atk the card instead of player directly, happened to me couple times already, anyone know why?

Nvm my mistake didn't know there is a longer arrow for direct hit all this time, for those having the same problem as me, just when you going for the atk move the arrow slowly and pick the long one targeting the player :)

Can someone help? Everytime I equip this to my piranha army and use Union Attack and such and such (trying to beat Mokuba) I can direct attack but it deals him no damage whatsoever, even if it says driect attack. I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing. Is it Tea's Holy Guard? Because I saw someone else use the same skill but it worked perfectly

read the effect of Union Attack again:
"...the monster gains that much ATK, but cannot inflict battle damage to your opponent..."

thats why we use this card not with piranha but with gravekeeper's vassal which doesn't inflict battle damage but effect damage ;)
