Pros

Can give a high attack increase if used with a high attack monster.
Can use face down monster's attack to give to your other monster.

Cons

Takes the base/original attack of the used monster instead of current attack.

Tips

Piranha Army + Master of Oz = 5,000 attack that will deal 10,000 damage, which is enough to get the highest attack bonus.
You can use Riryoku to increase your main monster's attack and use Gift of the Martyr by taking the reduced monster's attack to still give the original attack.
example: Use Riryoku by taking Blue-Eyes White Dragon's attack and give to Piranha Army, then use Gift of the Martyr by using BEWD and giving it to Piranha, which will result in Piranha with 4500 + 800 = 5400 and will deal double that damage if it can attack directly.

WTH. i tried to do this. but the gift of martyr only lets me send the piranha army to the grave. like wut. i riryoku my 9k ojama king (after beast rising) then gift of martyr and i cant send the fcking ojama to grave? bug?

It doesn't say but it adds original attack. So let's say, you bring out a BEUD with Cyber Stein but have 3 face down cards blocking your way. Use secret pass to the treasure on the stein for a direct attack, transfer half of the beud's attack to stein with riryoku and use gift of the martyr on the beud to give it even more attack. If your attack is not blocked or you were able to set up some measures against surprises you basically won :D.

Have 4 spell reclamation cards. maybe different cards are rarer for different people :/

The reason this card only add original attack but the text didnt say anything about it because when this card resolve, the monster you send already in the graveyard so it lost all the buff which mean its ATK equal its original attack.
So it not confusing at all

Well it is a confusing way to word the card, but you're correct.
I think similar cards released after this specify original atk to prevent misconceptions.

Doesn't work the way it should. The game only adds the original attack. It won't give you +10000 damage with piranha army
