If people are using Heavy Starter or Balance or the like to get these high-level Fusion materials in their hand, then the skill prevents you from special summoning on your first turn.

I was having the same problem, turned out the skill I was using prohibits me from summoning an effect monster on my first turn, (dark cavalry is an effect monster) so that for me atleast is why my poly has not been working for me

Do you think they can add Greater Polymerization to the game? Which archtype would get the most mileage out of it? If not, then why?

i had 3 blues eyes dragons in my hand and 2 polymerization on the field face down (as decoy) I couldnt activate the polymerization to get Ultimate Neo or Ultimate normal from the Field....................................................

there is a great set naiba setup that includes 5 headed dragon and polymerization. if you get the 5 headed dragon you pretty much won the game. its a great strategy. I've tried it. as long as you get 5 dragons in your hand and fuse them, only the Egyptian god cards can beat it. or you can sacrifice it to the winged dragon of ra to get at least 5,000 dmg

Interesting how so many characters have a line for this card.

Counting Yubel's use of Polymerization outside a duel, exactly half the current playable characters (19/38) have used Polymerization in the anime.

That's even more impressive when you consider that 5 of the characters that haven't are 5D's characters and 6 of the remaining ones only had 1 (or fewer) full duels in the anime.

I’m trying to fusion summon Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem with Ancient Gear Golem, Ancient Gear Reactor Dragon, Ancient Gear Hydra, an Poly, but it just isn’t working. I have all three monsters on the field and Poly my hand, and it’s only giving me the option to set the card and not activate it. Even multiple turns after I set it and it still won’t let me activate it.
