Once per turn protection from battle destruction.

Cons

Low stats.

Tips

You can attack a monster with equal attack stat and Gyroid would survive.
If Gyroid survives a turn you can use him for a tribute summon the next turn, making him a good choice for tribute summon heavy decks.

Supercharge

You can set Gyroid face-down and then when your opponent attacks him he will be in face-up defense position. You can then use Supercharge when your opponent attacks Gyroid again.

Machine Duplication

Debuff Gyroid to 500 or less attack and activate Machine Duplication to special summon 2 more Gyroids from your deck. Your opponent would need a total of 6 attacks in one battle phase to get rid of all your Gyroids.

Mirror Mail

You can use Mirror Mail to make the attacking monster’s attack equal to Gyroid’s. This will cause the attacking monster to be destroyed while Gyroid stays on the field protected by his own effect.

And even without the ticket, you should have two Gyroids now. That should be enough for a roid deck, especially since Jumbo Drillroid doesn't need it as material anyway.

Hold the hell on. I just got the game back and this event pops up. I decide, "well, I'm getting a bunch of Roid stuff, so ought as well grind to make some kind of roid deck. ......so all I virtually need now from the event is two gyroids and a truckroid. I grind, and grind, and grind, only to find out the event only gives ONE GYROID!

I hate duel links, they introduce cards with removal, destroy, banish effect but they're afraid to stall effects that they give us only 1 copy.
