"no b/c TK is a continuous effect"
but if the spell/trap card is already face up on the field then it can only be a continuous or equip effect card, regardless of that it doesn't specifically says that it doesn't work with continuous effect cards so i don't understand why you suppose it can't counter tk...

Continuous effects don't "activate", that's why.

But Toon Kingdom's protection effect is one the controlling player has to activate, like with SSA's banishing effect or Onslaught's banishing and special summon.

This card effect is not limited to continuous S/T. Any face up S/T such as equip, field spell also affected.

Example;

Cant use Mausoleum to pay LP to summon high lvl monster.

Cant use Noble arms caliburn, or arfeudutyr to heal or destroy set card.

Cant ss amazoness from hand using onslaught.

Cant use Gravity blaster to boost 400 ATK

Why doesn’t this card work with my Buster Blader, The Dragon Destroyer Swordsmen?

Because its name isn't Buster Blader.

Incidentally, if you manage to equip this card to something by some other card's effect, its effect will apply. (It's intended to work with Buster Dragon in the TCG/OCG.) Not something you can really take advantage of yourself at the moment in DL, though.

Tested on Tea AI (lvl 40) Card Currently is bugged, Equipping to buster blader doesn't cancel out Tea face up solemn wishes. Which Sucks but maybe it'll get fixed later down the road...its not that important anyways card doesn't work very well with current meta imo.

your opponent cant activate anything like econ mirror wall or otc if this card is equipped to a buster blader

The only thing this card negates is effects of Spells/Traps that are ALREADY face-up on the field at the time you equip this card. So, it won't negate Enemy Controller and Order to Charge, and it only negates Mirror Wall if it's already flipped face-up at the time you equip this card.
