Tips, Related Cards, Rulings

Bypass protection

This card can remove cards even if they are protected by Card Guard or Magic Reflector, because it will not count as a destruction effect but as a remove from play effect.

Anki OTK

(This OTK is only possible because of a bug that doesn't half Anki's attack when he attacks directly with his effect and Titan Showdown is active.)
Use Cosmic Cyclone to banish a spell/trap card and reduce your LP to make Titan Showdown active, then used masked change to special summon Masked HERO - Anki. Anki is able to attack your opponent directly and because of Titan Showdown he will deal 5600 damage. If your opponent does not control any spell/trap card for you to use Cosmic Cyclone on, you can turn on self-chain. First activate Masked Change on your HERO and then use Cosmic Cyclone on Masked Change, you will still be able to summon Anki with your LP reduced for Titan Showdown.

Banish Key Cards

Some decks require spell/trap cards in their setup to run properly. Cosmic Cyclone is an effective counter against these types of decks because banishing their key spell/trap card usually means they have no interaction with it anymore and would need a to search out a new copy. Here are some spell/trap cards that can be considered key cards in their respective decks.

Its the best backrow removal in the game and the lp cost is actually an advantage if you can trigger your skill with it

It's also a quick play. For good activation timing.

But the card is more decent than good because it is balanced by its cost. It is so expensive to get that it ends up being balanced.

Shiranui doesnt really care about it, really.
I use dragunity which totally screwed if this twin twister released, but that cant justify the twin twister since it was a genertic card that everyone can use

why does this card not just destroy/ban but also cancel my spell trap cards?? i activate my effect, opponent plays cosmos, effect is canceled, card banned

I see. P2W player base was losing too much against F2P one, so they had to adapt the rules to put the F2P player base in their place.

You should learn how continuous spell or trap and field spell works. This ruling is not just for CC but all S/T remover as well

They need to be face up to ACTIVE AND RESOLVE THE EFFECT. If they somehow remove your card from the field when you active it, it never resolved which mean no effect in the end. You still pay cost btw

The flow somehow looks like this:

Activation--->activation cost--->chaining phase--> resolving phase.

In your case, the gates of dark world never resolve the effect since it was the last to be resolved, and just before it resolved, the card disappear which result nullified the effect.

I believe that all top tier decks should have at least 1 monster card at limit 3 to prevent them from putting this.

Well i quess the idea behind duel links is games to be fast paced, not like tcg which tend to last forever. Also more lp wont change things since once the field is poped its over. Usually you recieve over 5000dmg. In addition more lp will make cards like cc easier to use. If they have to change something is to limit the number of the special summonings per turn.

The idea of raising LP is to give all tiered decks the chance to get back at the opponent even if you started first or bricked, something that right now is basically impossible, without breaking current decks, which limiting summoning could do. I don't think it's a bad idea though, anything to prevent opponents winning at their first turn when starting second would be good for the game.

you can use it to banish magic circle instead so the opponent cannot banish your card. Anyway, this card is so OP and expensive I often lose because of this.
