Masked HERO Anki | Deck and Rulings

Must be Special Summoned with "Mask Change" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card can attack your opponent directly, but when it does so using this effect, the battle damage inflicted to your opponent is halved. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Change" Quick-Play Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Masked HERO Anki" once per turn.

• Strong ATK stats.
• Able to add another “Change” Quick-Play Spell card from your Deck to your Hand, when this monster destroys opponent’s monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard.

• Cannot be Special Summoned by other ways.
• Direct attack causes its battle damage to be halved.
  Weak DEF stats.

• Important to note that Mask Change cannot be used during Damage Step.
• If your targeted HERO monster leaves your Field due to other card’s effects, when Mask Change was activated, you may not Special Summon Masked HERO Anki. Possible scenarios include Enemy Controller chained to your Mask Change, in order to take control of your targeted HERO monster.
• You can use Mask Change on your Masked HERO Anki during your battle phase, to Special Summon another Masked HERO Anki, for possible OTK.

(This OTK is only possible because of a bug that doesn't half Anki's attack when he attacks directly with his effect and Titan Showdown is active.)
Use Cosmic Cyclone to banish a spell/trap card and reduce your LP to make Titan Showdown active, then used masked change to special summon Masked HERO - Anki. Anki is able to attack your opponent directly and because of Titan Showdown he will deal 5600 damage. If your opponent does not control any spell/trap card for you to use Cosmic Cyclone on, you can turn on self-chain. First activate Masked Change on your HERO and then use Cosmic Cyclone on Masked Change, you will still be able to summon Anki with your LP reduced for Titan Showdown.

This Quick-Play Spell card is the only card that can Special Summon Masked HERO Anki currently. It can also be searched via Masked HERO Anki’s effect.

The main reason of using Masked HERO Anki together with Destiny HERO monsters is because all Destiny Hero monsters are DARK attribute, regardless of face-up or face-down, therefore Mask Change can be easily applied to them. Destiny HERO decks have incredible drawing mechanism which makes Masked HERO Anki a powerful addition to their deck. Recommended Destiny HERO - Drilldark because it is able to Special Summon another “Destiny HERO” monster from your Hand, with ATK equal or less than Destiny HERO - Drilldark. This grants you more options to use Mask Change on, and you can also choose to use Mask Change during your Battle Phase, after you have attacked with Destiny HERO - Drilldark, to Special Summon Masked HERO Anki for additional attacks. Destiny HERO - Dreamer is able to protect your HERO monster from being destroyed by battle, while being special summoned to the Field, it can also act as a fodder for you to apply Mask Change on it to Special Summon Masked HERO Anki. Destiny HERO - Celestial mainly is used to be banished together with another Destiny HERO monster from your Graveyard in order to draw more cards, and if it attacks, it can destroy 1 face-up Spell card your opponent controls. D-Spirit allows you to Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower Destiny HERO monster from your hand, provided you do not control another Destiny HERO on the Field.

If you attack your opponent directly and activate Forbidden Chalice during the damage step to target Anki, you will deal 3200 points of direct damage instead of just 1400.
