There are only 3 Masked Heroes in the game right now, but just one of them seems actually good, which is Masked HERO Anki. This card together with Mask Change can be added to a destiny hero deck, which already had success on its own, but will now get a huge power boost.
Destiny Calling (Skill) Can be used after your Life Points are at 2000 or below. Play the Field Spell "Dark City." If there already is Field Spell on your side of the Field, return it to your hand. This skill can only be used once per Duel.
The main idea is to use a beatstick variant of a Destiny Hero deck with the skill Destiny Calling, but add in 3 copies of Mask Change together with Masked Hero Anki in the extra deck. We are basically revisiting this decklist http://duellinks.gamea.co/c/phu7qflz , which uses Cosmic Cyclone to trigger your skill Destiny Calling putting Dark City on your side of the field.
The way Mask Change works is you send one HERO monster from your field to the graveyard, and then summon a Masked Hero monster from your extra deck that has the same attribute as the HERO monster that you sent. With all the Destiny Hero monsters having the DARK attribute, they are all possible targets for Mask Change to summon Masked Hero Anki.
The power from Masked Heroes and Mask Change comes from the fact that Mask Change is a quick-play spell card, meaning you can first attack with your Destiny Hero to destroy a monster or deal extra damage and then bring out your Masked Hero Anki for a second attack. You can also activate Mask Change in response to your opponent activating a card like Enemy Controller, Wall of Disruption, Super Rush Headlong etc to avoid those card effects and still get another attack in.
Besides having the highest attack of all three Masked Heroes available right now, Anki also has the best effect. He can attack your opponent directly, but his attack will be halved when you do so but most importantly when he destroys an opponent’s monster by battle, you can add another Mask Change spell card from your deck to your hand, meaning you can then use that Mask Change either on another one of your destiny hero monsters to summon another Masked Hero Anki, or use it on your Masked Hero Anki because he is a DARK attribute HERO monster. However if you do so and destroy another monster by battle you can’t add another Mask Change card to your hand because that effect can only be used once per turn.
We use the same three Destiny Hero beatstick monsters as before, because they have the highest attack but also good effects. Destiny Hero - Celestial is great to draw cards, and with Mask Change now in this deck, more monsters will be sent to your graveyard. Decider cannot be destroyed by a level 6 or higher monster, which can counter Cyber Angel decks, he can also bring back (one time) a hero monster from your graveyard to your hand. Drilldark will allow you to swarm the field, which could be very powerful if you have access to a Mask Change spell card.
If you start with Drilldark, one other Destiny Hero monster and Mask Change you can; summon those two Destiny Hero monsters, go in for one or two attacks (depending on the amount of monsters you might want to leave one monster on the field to be destroyed by Anki), then use Mask Change on one of them to summon Anki, destroy an opponent’s monster, add a Mask Change to your hand so you can send the last Destiny Hero monster to the graveyard to get out your second Masked Hero Anki. This combo could easily be an OTK.
Beside protecting your monsters and allowing you to activate your skill, this card is very good right now in the meta because it almost guarantees you’ll win versus Sea Stealth Attack decks, which are tier 1 right now.
Another great card right now in the meta because it can stop Sylvans from activating their effects, but it also has synergy with Masked Hero Anki because if you attack your opponent directly and activate Forbidden Chalice during the damage step you will deal 3200 points of direct damage instead of just 1400.
The core of the deck with Destiny Calling is 3x Destiny Hero - Drilldark, 3x Destiny Hero - Celestial, 3x Destiny Hero - Decider, 2x Cosmic Cyclone, 3x Mask Change . The remaining slots can be filled with whatever good backrow cards you own. We included Powerful Rebirth, Super Rush Headlong, Enemy Controller, Mirror Wall and Floodgate Trap Hole to give you some examples.
You can also include the Mask Change+Masked Hero Anki package into a fusion destiny hero deck.
A fusion variant of this deck would use this as its core;
you dont just get KoG with buying the packs. you have to realize that actually playing the cards right can MAYBE win you the duels. and its not even certain that you WILL win. 3x celestial is more consistent. only run Vyon if you're running fusion monsters like dangerous and trinity. 3x anki and 3x mask change is a big difference, so its not free to play friendly.

With this and cosmic cyclone, just how many Asters are in pvp now?
Currently at Legend 2 and im surprised i dont run into D hero decks more often. Lots of geargia, CA and archfiends around lately.

I win more consistently with this deck than I did with CA, I play the fusion version to overcome more powerful monsters. It may be quite pricy to make, but it got me to Max DL and Legendary pretty fast. This deck will only get better if the release the other Masked Hero’s.
In my opinion, this deck is the reason why a bunch of decks in the meta got demoted from tier 1. It dodges Alien counters, disrupts SSA board, and can even play around Sylvans. I got DLMax with it and King of Games for the first time. It will only get better when they release the other Masked Heros.
That’s just it, it does deal with back row. If you play Cosmic Cyclone, you not only disrupt the opponents back row, but you also activate D hero tower to deal with bigger monsters. Mask change is used to avoid targeting backrow/effects and D hero Dreamer is used for protection.
Not back row... Heavy back row. GB and Dino play with 2 or 3 back row cards. A single Cosmic Cyclone (if you have it in your hand) won't do anything against them. I play Anki. And lost every match I've had against them.
Dark Law isn't quite like CA. CA's were just stupidly powerful and murdered everything. Dark Law just happens to be super anti-meta, but there are still tons of decks that can handle him without much trouble because he's not that hard to kill.
That's why forbidden chalice is so great you can set and use it as a budget sakuretsu armor or simply otk them over their beatstick vanillas

Any advice for a cosmic cycle alternative? I haven't gotten one of packs yet but I have pretty much everything else the deck needs. I also still need another chalice, but since I have one already I am not as uneasy. But yeah I was thinking double cyclone since I have two of those...?
cosmic cyclone is so good because it counters SSA, triggers destiny draw and banishes instead of destroying, which gets around a lot of counters. use double for now but really try to get one or two cosmics in the meantime. you could also use nobleman of extermination if you have it.
use restart and play some other form of backrow hate trunade is strong sometimes you can otk ssa players before they're able to set up their win condition also use e-con and take their water monsters away so they can't special summon citadel whale and try to cheese some victories with forbidden chalice (divine guy can destroy their umi for free if they don't have ssa yet)
