When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower “HERO” monster from your hand. If this card is sent from the Monster Zone to the GY by a Spell effect: You can target 1 “HERO” monster in your GY, except “Elemental HERO Solid Soldier”; Special Summon it in Defense Position. You can only use this effect of “Elemental HERO Solid Soldier” once per turn.

Revives a HERO monster.

Cons

Low base stats.
Must be sent to the graveyard with a Spell effect to activate revival.

Tips

You can use Elemental HERO Solid Soldier on your side of the field as a ritual tribute to trigger his effect.

Fusion

HERO decks are known for their abitily to Fusion summon. And using them a fusion Spell will trigger the revival effect of Elemental HERO Solid Soldier. You can use the Fusion monsters with the more generic fusion materials so that you can use your Elemental Solid Soldier easier.

I activate Polymerization with Solid Soldier to Summon "Solid of Fusion".
Next, I tune my tuner with Solid Dragon to summon "Solid of Synchro".
Finally, I overlay my 3 Solid monsters to summon "Solid of XYZ".

Beware, my solid army is here!

Too bad, activate my spell, Solid of Skin.
My monsters are unaffected by all slashing or piercing attacks and abilities.

It’s... debatable. Drilldark already does its job, along with higher arrack as well as being a Mask Change target for Anki.

The only benefit is getting a hero back from the grave, but since Vyon, Drilldark etc are hard once per turns- you won’t get their effects again that same turn.

One good thing about this card in Destiny/Masked Hero deck is that you can use Mask Change on this card to bring out Dian.

Nah, I don't think so. They've put great cards in miniboxes as well, remember empire of scarlet. That box is still meta.

this isnt good. i planned to skip this box but all of a sudden this box comes with dian and solid soldier? solid soldier is a staple in todays tcg meta one of thw best elemental heroes and they only release 2 heroes and its a MAIN BOX. this is just like cyber dragon being in a completely unrelated box. hope ill get solid soldier faster so i wont lose all my gems

Well if you got lucky and managed to snag even a single copy of solid solider from the selection box awhile back, you’ll only have to buy out this box at least once for a play set which is nice

Yeah, it's not like the shortprinted Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier and Nekroz of Brionac were limited for a long time or anything. ;p

Skystriker's still just too new to hit in the TCG. (Which, incidentally, is really not a problem Masked HEROes have in Duel Links. They're probably the longest-lived top-tier deck at this point. Nobody would be pissed at Konami for nerfing them at this point.

I used enemy controller on this card on my opponent’s turn and his effect did not activate. I had masked hero Dian in the graveyard.

I guess it is treated as a "cost" rather than a "spell effect". Think of dark world

I’m pretty sure its a bug. Because its sent to the graveyard by a spell effect, doesn’t matter if the spell tributed it or not.

Two things went wrong there:

1) You didn't send it to the Graveyard via a Spell Effect. As the other guy mentioned, it's a cost.

2) Masked HERO Dian can't be revived with Solid Soldier. It can't be Special Summoned in any way but Mask Change, and Solid Soldier doesn't ignore that condition.

Not all Tributes are costs. Solid Soldier will trigger if you Tribute it for a Ritual Spell or Ectoplasmer, for example. But Enemy Controller's is, and as such, won't trigger it.
