Select 1 Spell Card on the field and destroy it. If the selected card is Set, pick up and see the card. If it is a Spell Card, it is destroyed. If it is a Trap Card, return it to its original position.
How to Get / Rarity
Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba at level 3 [R]
One of few spell removals in current card pool, but not useful since the card cannot deal with a set card by 100 percent.
"Remove Trap" only removes face up traps, not face down ones. De-Spell can deal with both face up and face down spells.

I will answer your question + help you understand chains a little better!
Spells & Traps are like race cars.
They all have a speed/mile per hour.
In order for you to chain to the other cards, You have to be going the same speed as them or faster!
The "Property" of the card De-Spell is Normal.
Normal spell cards have a speed of 1.
The "Property" of the card Twister is Quick-Play. If you look at the card where it says [Spell Card], you will see a funny looking Lighting bolt. This mark indicates the card is a quick-play spell card.
Quick-play spell cards have a speed of 2.
Now think about it!
You are using De-Spell going 1 miles per hour. I am using Twister going 2 miles per hour.
Will you ever catch me?
I am moving to fast for you.
You will never be able to chain to me.
Can I chain to you?
You are moving 1 speed.
I am moving 2 speed.
I am move equal speed to you or faster which makes I can chain to you etc.
You could have just said quick play spells(identified by a thunder bolt)can be played on your opponents turn where as normal spells (sans thunderbolt)can only be used on your turn, good analogy but rather long winded and somewhat confusing
PSA: This card can also be received by leveling Paradox Brothers to level 16. So yes it is possible to have three of this card.
In my opinion depending on how you've built your deck this is a better card than Twister. Think about it; Twister destroys face-ups only but the majority of what you can actually destroy and have value are generally spell cards, and with equips becoming less relevant I think De-spell is now better simply due to the fact it can destroy a face down e con alongside give you knowledge for a good push.
People can argue that Twister is better and I'm open to that but if you say that Twister can stop Mirror Wall then I'm going to laugh tbh since a good player would activate Mirror Wall during the damage step and that's where not even Twister can stop that. Twister definitely has its positives but right now I think that De-Spell has more relevance right now, at least in higher ranks
