Reading is hard

for real, ya'll need to learn how to read, lol ok to be fair, these fusion substitute cards are worded poorly and came out at a time when poly and fusion gate where required to properly fuse outside of metamorphosis, magical scientist etc, the card only works if it's being a substitute for a specific monster. a quick way to tell is if it says 'monster' after the required name, that is not a specific card, therefore goddess will not work.

to explain a popular one such as Red-Eyes Slash Dragon.
requires "Red-eyes black dragon" + "1 warrior monster".
Since the warrior monster isn't a specific warrior, Goddess cannot be used, however since "Red-eyes black dragon" is a specific name, it can be used in place if that.
Note. cards like Goddess don't work with Red-eyes Fusion. the card poorly explains why, but it's an obscure ruling.

Goddess is only poorly worded because it's old. Subs that've been printed more recently, like Fusion Parasite or King of the Swamp, have pretty clear wording. (This card can be used as a substitute for any 1 Fusion Material whose name is specifically listed on the Fusion Monster Card, but the other Fusion Material(s) must be correct.)

No, not at the moment anyway. You can however get versago the destroyer from Kaiba, and mystical sheep #1 from some other thing (Mystical sheep #1 is another character drop I think). They are all the same in terms of effect, its not like you will use them for anything other than fusion.

For the next 9 days ("Pick a Gift Campaign") or so it will be an option to choose from including Spiral Strike. I am not sure if yours is the same but it looks like this...

This card does not work as a replacement for a dragon monster to summon buster blader dragon destroyer swordsman. wtf konami.

I always use it for my 4 Blue Eyes Deck so I can use the 4 Blue Eyes Trick and have Blue Eyes White Dragon and Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon out on the field at the same time.

It's only useless when the Fusion doesn't allow Substitutes or when Vagabond doesn't allow monster effects. It's really useful in a Blue Eyes Deck so you can have Blue Eyes White Dragon and Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon out on the field at the same time.

In auto duel, had REBD and poly in hand and this crappy card and it doesnt summon Meteor B. instead it just set this crappy card and ended the turn.

I had a fusion gate on the field, rebd in my hand and this card too. I had no way of summoning my black skull dragon or meteor black dragon, I couldn't activate fusion gate.

This card will not work when trying to combined with meteor dragon to Fusion summon meteor black dragon

It works for me. You still have to use polymerization or fusion gate to fusion summon meteor black dragon

you cant use it if the fusion monster says it "can only be summoned with the above fusion materials"
