Sorcerer of Dark Magic | Decks and Tips

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 2 Level 6 or higher Spellcaster-Type monsters, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. During either player's turn, when a Trap Card is activated: You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. This card must be face-up on the field to activate and to resolve this effect.

• Negates Trap cards during either player’s turn, this effect can be used multiple times during the same turn.
• Powerful ATK and DEF stats.

• Challenging Summon conditions.

• Although powerful in negating Trap effects, this monster can be very hard to Special Summon in the fast paced meta.
• This monster is still susceptible to Spell effects, therefore it might be wise to include Silent Magician, for example for additional Spell negation.

Reaper of Prophecy can Special Summon level 5 or higher Spellcaster-type monster from your Deck if you have 5 or more Spellbook Spell cards in your Graveyard, therefore you should have 2 level 6 or higher Spellcaster-type monsters ready to Special Summon Sorcerer of Dark Magic. Prophecy Destroyer can be Special Summoned from the Graveyard instead, by banishing 3 Spellbook Spell cards, to fill in the quota, or it can be Special Summoned via Reaper of Prophecy’s effect from your Deck, and after tributing it to Special Summon Sorcerer of Dark Magic, you can Special Summon Prophecy Destroyer from your Graveyard, by banishing 3 Spellbook Spell cards.

If you control Dark Magician Girl on the Field, you can use Sage's Stone to Special Summon Dark Magician from your Deck, together they make 2 level 6 or higher Spellcaster-type monsters, ready to use for Special Summon Sorcerer of Dark Magic. Alternatively, if Dark Magician is in your Graveyard, you can use Swing of Memories to Special Summon it to the Field to be used as 1 of the Tributes.
