Pros

  • Destroys a card on the field.

Cons

  • You lose more resources than your opponent.

Tips

Fabled

Many Fabled monsters effects are triggered when they are discarded, making Raigeki Break work well in the deck because you can get some utility out of the cost. Some Fabled monsters also work best when you are able to keep your hand count low.

Infernity

The discard cost can keep your hand size low which is beneficial to Infernity decks who want to have no hand cards as often as possible. Infernity decks interact with the graveyard a lot so the discard can be good setup.

I use 5 copies of counter traps, still lose though shrugs

You can use 3 of these in a deck that can't use TTH due to using other semi-limited cards. Not only can it destroy monsters but spells and traps as well. The cost is very low and if its a deck like Invoked, you can discard a fusion material and reuse it in the graveyard

tth comes at a cost too. For one, you can't have any other traps in your GY. So it's a dead draw if you've already used it. Also it being semi-limited means certain decks can't use it. Raigeki break is slightly similar in that it targets and destroys a card, though you can continue to use more than one trap before or after using it

Also tth can't be used unless you target 2 different monsters. overall its better, but it has some limitations and weaknesses
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Tth only useful on monsters.
<< Anonymous

There's a reason why TTH in semi limited and Raigeki Break isn't.

does this card trigger lunalight effect from hand?
<< Anonymous
MannyV Reply
If by Lunalight you mean cards such as Marten, Fox, etc, yes. It certainly does.
:0
Does it have a lore?

According to Yugipedia, the blue claw on the right is Dark Ruler Ha Des. There's also some references to Japanese pop culture. You can check out the trivia section of cards on Yugipedia and it's fun to read the references and stuff

Dark Ruler Ha Des - Ares?
Is he Osiris then? Lord of the underworld?

Tribute of Doomed trap version.. lol :D
<< Anonymous(Heartfilia)
Anonymous Reply
Tribute to the Doomed also cannot be used on opponent's turn, this however, can.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Tribute to the Doomed has its perks too though, like not needing to wait a turn to activate. Overall this is better though.

Yes it can

It looks very interesting, but it's slow.
It might be good in decks such as dark world... (I think)
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
No, this card discards as a cost.

Fabled does love this card, Dark World does not.

Thanks.

Love this card, its soo good. Even in decks that discarding comes at a cost, its still very useful
Anonymous
This card is sooooo very late.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
if it not late it will super broken before
<< Anonymous

It's still decent though.

Discarding has its uses, and you get to destroy 1 any card.

KINDA OP!

How about releasing the GOAT Raigeki spell card?
Anonymous
3 things about this card. Must discard as a cost to activate. Targets the card you want to destroy, opponent can still chain card effects to the activation of this card. Many ways its not that useful except for a few situations where you might want destroy an opponents monster before they make their move. say blackwings or darklords. Aside from this. It costs 2 cards to deal with 1 card unless you are stopping an opponents combo it may not be worth having this card at all.

At least it's a Mini Box UR and not a Main Box UR.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
At least this card is the UR, and not something else far more powerful that will be immune to banlist due to being box UR.

lol OP is right
