Set Skill

[Skill] descriptionUser
Xiangke and Xiangsheng
At the beginning of the Duel, add Pendulum Zones to your field.

The following effect can be used once per Duel. Add 1 "Odd-Eyes" Pendulum Monster with 2500 ATK or lower from your hand to your Extra Deck face-up, and place 1 "Xiangke Magician" and 1 "Xiangsheng Magician" to your Pendulum Zones from your hand/Deck. Then, change the Pendulum Scale of "Xiangsheng Magician" in your Pendulum Zone to 8.

This Skill can only be used/applied if you begin the Duel with a Deck (excluding Extra Deck) that contain at least 5 Level 4 and 5 Level 7 monsters and contains no monsters other than "Performapal" or "Odd-Eyed" monsters, or "Magician" Pendulum Monsters.

How to Play

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon
DARK Dragon ★7
ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Pendulum Genesis [UR]
[ Pendulum Effect ]
You can reduce the battle damage you take from an attack involving a Pendulum Monster you control to 0. During your End Phase: You can destroy this card, and if you do, add 1 Pendulum Monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each Pendulum Effect of "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" once per turn.
[ Monster Effect ]
If this card battles an opponent's monster, any battle damage this card inflicts to your opponent is doubled.

In the earlier turns, it's just used to search for any other pendulum cards. Use this to search for Arc Pendulum Dragon to have a scale of 8 so you can pendulum summon Odd-Eyes or make some plays with Arc or Sky Iris' effect.

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon has a decent effect to deal double damage, but once you can reliably pendulum summon it, Odd-Eyes is used to bring out the strong Xyz monsters.

Performapal Skullcrobat Joker

Performapal Skullcrobat Joker
Performapal Skullcrobat Joker
DARK Spellcaster ★4
ATK 1800 / DEF 100
Yuya Sakaki at lvl 33 & 35 [UR]
Pendulum Effect

You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Performapal" monsters, "Magician" Pendulum Monsters, and "Odd-Eyes" monsters. This effect cannot be negated.

Monster Effect
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 "Performapal" monster, "Magician" Pendulum Monster, or "Odd-Eyes" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Performapal Skullcrobat Joker".

One of the Main Searcher of this Deck. You can search any 1 of "Performapal", "Pendulum Magician" or "Odd-Eyes" monster from your Deck while he is normal summoned.

Xiangke & Xiangsheng Magician

Synergy with the Skill: Xiangke and Xiangsheng that can bring out Xiangke & Xiangsheng Pendulum Magician to your Pendulum Zone for Pendulum Summoning easily. You can both of these cards effect to special summon Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon as well.

Xiangke Magician
Xiangke Magician
DARK Spellcaster ★7
ATK 2500 / DEF 500
Cross Dimension [SR]
Pendulum Effect
Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control; this turn, you can use it as an Xyz Material for an Xyz Summon using its Rank as if it were a Level (even if this card leaves the field).

Monster Effect
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can target 1 LIGHT monster on the field; negate that face-up monster's effects until the end of this turn.
Xiangsheng Magician
Xiangsheng Magician
LIGHT Spellcaster ★4
ATK 500 / DEF 1500
Cross Dimension [R]
Pendulum Effect
Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control, and 1 Level 5 or higher monster you control; that Xyz Monster's Rank becomes equal to the Level of that Level 5 or higher monster, until the end of this turn (even if this card leaves the field). While you control more cards than your opponent does, this card's Pendulum Scale becomes 4.

Monster Effect
Your opponent takes no battle damage from attacks involving this card. Once per turn: You can target 1 other face-up monster you control; this card's ATK becomes equal to that monster's current ATK, until the end of this turn.

Performapal Secondonkey

Performapal Secondonkey
Performapal Secondonkey
EARTH Beast ★4
ATK 1000 / DEF 2000
Idea of Armageddon [SR]
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send 1 "Performapal" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, except "Performapal Secondonkey". If you have 2 cards in your Pendulum Zones, you can add it to your hand instead.

Since you can bring out Xiangke and Xiangsheng Pendulum Magician and set on your Pendulum Zone with the Skill, Secondonkey's effect will becomes searcher effect for adding 1 "Performapal" monster from your Deck.

Nobledragon Magician

Nobledragon Magician
Nobledragon Magician
FIRE Spellcaster ★3
ATK 700 / DEF 1400
Force of Infinity [SR]
Pendulum Effect
Unless you have a "Magician" card in your other Pendulum Zone, destroy this card.

Monster Effect
Cannot be used as a Synchro Material, except for the Synchro Summon of a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster. If this card is used as a Synchro Material, unless all other Synchro Materials are "Odd-Eyes" monsters, place this card on the bottom of the Deck. If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can target 1 Level 7 or higher "Odd-Eyes" monster you control; reduce its Level by 3, and if you do, Special Summon this card.

Gives you access to some powerful level 7 synchro monsters by using Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon on your field. If you have another level 7 monster as one of the scales, going into Meteorburst Dragon lets you special summon that monster in the pendulum zone so you can Xyz into a rank 7. This lets you go into Ebon Illusion for some combo plays.

Performapal Odd-Eyes Minitaurus

Performapal Odd-Eyes Minitaurus
Performapal Odd-Eyes Minitaurus
DARK Beast-Warrior ★4
ATK 1200 / DEF 1600
Pendulum Genesis [N] [N]
Pendulum Effect
If your "Performapal" or "Odd-Eyes" monster attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.

Monster Effect
During damage calculation, if your Pendulum Monster attacks an opponent's monster: You can make that opponent's monster lose 100 ATK for each "Performapal" and "Odd-Eyes" card you control, during damage calculation only.

Has a scale of 6 so you can use it together with Arc to be able to pendulum summon the level 7 Odd-Eyes monsters. The pierce effect is to work together with Book of Moon, which is how this deck deals with high ATK monsters, or ones that are difficult to deal with in general.

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon has a double damage effect, so attacking low DEF monsters can be a winning condition since you can OTK them. Using the skill to get an ATK boost gives double value on Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon because of its effect.

Spiral Flame Strike

Spiral Flame Strike
Spiral Flame Strike
Normal Spell
Fantastic Arc [UR]
Activate 1 of these effects;
● If you control an "Odd-Eyes" card: Target 1 card on the field; destroy it.
● Add to your hand, 1 Level 7 "Odd-Eyes" monster from your Deck, or 1 face-up Level 7 "Odd-Eyes" Pendulum Monster from your Extra Deck.

Mostly going to be used for its search effect so you can more reliably get Arc from the deck to be able to make some plays. The card removal effect is nice, but it's only worth using when you already have a good advantage in the duel.

Techs

Ice Dragons Prison
Ice Dragons Prison
Normal Trap
Selection Box Vol.06 [UR]
Target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; Special Summon it to your field, but its effects are negated, then, you can banish 1 monster from both players' fields that have the same Type as each other. You can only activate 1 "Ice Dragon's Prison" per turn.

Ice Dragon's Prison can help you disrupt your opponent's plays by summoning a monster from their graveyard and then banishing a monster from both players' fields that share a Type. This can be particularly effective if your opponent has a powerful monster on the field that you want to get rid of.

Compulsory Evacuation Device
Compulsory Evacuation Device
Normal Trap
Selection Box Vol.04 Mini [UR]
Target 1 monster on the field; return that target to the hand.

Compulsory Evacuation Device is a versatile card that can be used to return any monster on the field to its owner's hand. This can be useful for disrupting your opponent's strategy, especially if they have a powerful monster that you can't destroy with battle or card effects.

Extra Decks

Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier
Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier
WATER Dragon ★11
ATK 2700 / DEF 2000
Stars of Synchro [UR]
1 Tuner + 2+ non-Tuner monsters
When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can banish up to 3 cards your opponent controls. If this Synchro Summoned card in its owner's control is destroyed by an opponent's card: You can Special Summon 1 "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" from your Extra Deck or GY, its ATK becomes 3300, then halve the ATK of any face-up monsters your opponent currently controls, also negate their effects. You can only use this effect of "Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier" once per turn.

Trishula, Zero Dragon of the Ice Barrier's ability to banish up to three cards your opponent controls upon Synchro Summon can be a devastating blow, potentially wiping out an opponent's entire board.

Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon
Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon
FIRE Dragon ★7
ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Force of Infinity [UR]
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

When this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 card in your Pendulum Zone; Special Summon it, also this card cannot attack for the rest of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon" once per turn. Monsters in your opponent's possession cannot activate their effects during the Battle Phase.

Its effect is very powerful to ensure that your attacks won't get stopped by monster effects, which include handtraps like Kiteroid.

But if your opponent controls a high ATK monster, you can use its effect to special summon one of your monsters in the pendulum zone. If it's an Odd-Eyes card, you'll be able to then Xyz into a rank 7 like Ebon Illusion or Dark Armed so you have some card removal effects.

Abyss Dweller
Abyss Dweller
WATER Sea Serpent ★4
ATK 1700 / DEF 1400
Photons of Galaxy [UR]
Selection Box Vol.03 Mini [UR] [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters
While this card has an Xyz Material attached that was originally WATER, all WATER monsters you control gain 500 ATK. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; any card effects that activate in your opponent's Graveyard cannot be activated this turn.

Abyss Dweller is an anti-Graveyard interaction tech, intended to hinder Decks that activate a ton of effects from the graveyard. It's best to activate this at the start of the opponent's turn, so make sure to toggle Chain to "ON" and activate Abyss Dweller's effect during the opponent's Draw Phase.

Voloferniges, the Darkest Dragon Doomrider
Voloferniges, the Darkest Dragon Doomrider
DARK Dragon ★7
ATK 2500 / DEF 2100
Cross Dimension [SR]
2 Level 7 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 2 materials from this card, then target 1 face-up card on the field; destroy it, and if you destroyed a monster, you can make 1 face-up monster you control gain ATK equal to the destroyed monster's original Level/Rank x 300 until the end of the next turn. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. This is a Quick Effect if this card has a Dragon monster as material, but cannot be activated in the Damage Step.

Face-Up Card Destruction including backrow is pretty decent effect but sadly it cannot activated during Damage Step. When you destroyed a monster, it will allows you boost up ATK of 1 monster you control until the end of the next turn.

Evilswarm Nightmare
Evilswarm Nightmare
DARK Fiend ★4
ATK 950 / DEF 1950
Fantastic Arc [SR]
2 Level 4 DARK monsters
When your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) (except during the Damage Step): You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; change that Special Summoned monster(s) to face-down Defense Position.

It's a very strong defensive effect since it doesn't target and can be used twice in a single turn, giving the deck a somewhat safe turn-1 play. If it doesn't get disrupted, there's a pretty high chance of it being able to use its effect since most decks special summon monsters to make strong plays.

However, this card is useless against LINK Monsters since they can't be changed in DEF Position.

Number 70: Malevolent Sin
Number 70: Malevolent Sin
DARK Insect ★4
ATK 2400 / DEF 1200
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3.

Malevolent Sin is an anti-Xyz tech. Summon Malevolent Sin and use its effect to temporarily banish an enemy Xyz monster. The Xyz monster will return with no materials attached to it.

Steelswarm Roach
Steelswarm Roach
DARK Fiend ★4
ATK 1900 / DEF 0
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
During either player's turn, when a Level 5 or higher monster would be Special Summoned: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the Special Summon, and if you do, destroy it.

Roach is great for monster suppression, much like a Trap Hole card. When your opponent summons a boss monster, use Roach's effect to immediately destroy it. This is an especially good counter against Synchro Decks, or High-Level Special Summon Decks. But most of the time, just Roach's presence on the field is enough to deter the opponent from making big monsters.

Link Disciple
Link Disciple
LIGHT Cyberse
ATK 500 / DEF 1
Link Revolution [R]
1 Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster
You can Tribute 1 monster this card points to; draw 1 card, then place 1 card from your hand on the bottom of the Deck. You can only use this effect of "Link Disciple" once per turn.

Link Disciple allows you to draw a card and cycle a card from your hand. It can also as a Filter Draw Strategy to tribute 1 monster this card points to; usually used to get rid of Knightmare Corruptor Iblee that was special summoned to your field by the opponent.

Other Cards Option

Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon

Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon
Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon
DARK Dragon ★7
ATK 2700 / DEF 2000
Fantastic Arc [UR]
Pendulum Effect
If an "Odd-Eyes" card(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Odd-Eyes" monster from your hand, Deck, or GY. You can only use this effect of "Odd-Eyes Arc Pendulum Dragon" once per turn.

Monster Effect
Made from miracles, this valiant and beautiful dragon has gleaming eyes that reflect an arc drawn in the sky.

A very useful support since it can be used offensively by manually triggering it, or defensively as a floater during your opponent's turn.

You can use Sky Iris on your Odd-Eyes monster, even if it's in the pendulum zone, to manually trigger Arc's effect. Another way is to use Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's end phase effect when it's in the pendulum zone.

With Sky Iris' effect, you can destroy an Odd-Eyes to trigger Arc's effect and also get a search from Sky Iris' effect. This lets you put the newly searched Odd-Eyes to the pendulum zone right away to pendulum summon the one destroyed by Sky Iris. Together with the one special summoned from Arc's effect, you can then Xyz into a rank 7, or just stay with the Odd-Eyes as blockers on your field since Arc lets them float into another Odd-Eyes.

Odd-Eyes Lancer Dragon

Odd-Eyes Lancer Dragon
Odd-Eyes Lancer Dragon
LIGHT Dragon ★8
ATK 3000 / DEF 2000
Yuya Sakaki [UR]
If a Pendulum Monster you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Tribute 1 monster; Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. If an "Odd-Eyes" card(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can destroy 1 "Odd-Eyes" card in your hand, Monster Zone, or Pendulum Zone instead.

You can special summon this from the deck through Arc Pendulum Dragon's effect when you use Sky Iris to destroy another Odd-Eyes card.

Lancer Dragon is a pretty strong card since it has high ATK, comes with a protection effect, and has a good chance of being able to attack safely. It's the card that you'll want to summon when you can use Arc Pendulum Dragon's effect first. However, this isn't a pendulum card, so there is no way to recover this if it gets destroyed.

Magician Scales

These magician pendulum cards are searchable with Pendulum Call, which is how the deck can pendulum summon somewhat easily/fast.

Once you get Sky Iris, you can slowly replace them with Odd-Eyes cards, mainly Arc Pendulum Dragon, so you can get its special summoning effect.

Stargazer Magician
Stargazer Magician
DARK Spellcaster ★5
ATK 1200 / DEF 2400
ARC-V World Celebration Campaign [UR Prismatic]
Pendulum Effect

If a Pendulum Monster you control battles, your opponent cannot activate Spell Cards until the end of the Damage Step. Unless you have a "Magician" card or "Odd-Eyes" card in your other Pendulum Zone, this card's Pendulum Scale becomes 4.

Monster Effect

Once per turn, when exactly 1 other Pendulum Monster you control (and no other cards) is returned to your hand by an opponent's card effect (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon 1 monster from your hand with the same name as that returned to the hand.

Stargazer is used in the deck because it's easier to use compared to Timegazer, a low scale so you can pair it with Arc Pendulum Dragon, and so that you can use the skill. Both its pendulum effect and monster effect aren't going to be used that much.

Dragonpit Magician
Dragonpit Magician
WATER Spellcaster ★7
ATK 900 / DEF 2700
Magicians Arc [UR]
Pendulum Effect
Once per turn, if you have a "Magician" card in your other Pendulum Zone: You can discard 1 Pendulum Monster, then target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy it.

Monster Effect
This gifted magician can awaken the energy stored in the deep places of the earth, known as the Pits of the Dragon. His stoic approach wins him few friends, and he often bends to the desires of his pupil.

Dragonpits Magician, an decent backrow removal but you need to discard 1 Pendulum Monster. His Pendulum Scale which is 8 can paired with Scale 1 Magician will allows you to Pendulum Summon Level 2 to 7 monsters including Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon.

Dragonpulse Magician

Dragonpulse Magician
Dragonpulse Magician
EARTH Spellcaster ★4
ATK 1800 / DEF 900
Magicians Arc [UR]
Pendulum Effect
Once per turn, if you have a "Magician" card in your other Pendulum Zone: You can discard 1 Pendulum Monster, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; destroy it.

Monster Effect
This boy magician has the gift of seeing the natural lines of energy that run through the earth, which his people call the Pulse of the Dragon. His exuberance and skill put him in high regard with his mentor, the "Dragonpit Magician".

Can be special summoned by Ebon Illusion Magician's effect.

Other Performapal Monsters

Performapal Odd-Eyes Unicorn
Performapal Odd-Eyes Unicorn
LIGHT Beast ★1
ATK 100 / DEF 600
Chaotic Soldiers [SR]
Pendulum Effect
Once, while this card is in your Pendulum Zone, when an "Odd-Eyes" monster you control declares an attack: You can target 1 other "Performapal" monster you control; that attacking monster gains ATK equal to the original ATK of the targeted monster on the field, until the end of the Battle Phase (even if this card leaves the field).

Monster Effect
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 "Performapal" monster in your Graveyard; gain LP equal to its ATK.

Basically a high scale monster that's searchable with Sky Iris to help pendulum summon Odd-Eyes. Essentially a somewhat budget version compared to using Arc Pendulum Dragon.

Its pendulum effect can be nice, but only if you need to attack with another monster to get rid of another monster or finish the game. Otherwise, a better follow-up is to use the Odd-Eyes to bring out a fusion monster instead.

Performapal Longphone Bull
Performapal Longphone Bull
EARTH Beast ★4
ATK 1600 / DEF 1200
Pendulum Genesis [R]
If this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Performapal" monster from your Deck to your hand, except a Pendulum Monster. You can only use this effect of "Performapal Longphone Bull" once per turn.

Performapal Secondonkey Searcher when it is Special Summoned.

Performapal Radish Horse
Performapal Radish Horse
EARTH Plant ★4
ATK 500 / DEF 2000
Chaotic Soldiers [R]
Pendulum Effect
Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls, and 1 "Performapal" monster you control; that opponent's monster loses ATK equal to the ATK of that "Performapal" monster you control (even if this card leaves the field).

Monster Effect
If your opponent controls a Special Summoned monster, and controls at least as many monsters as you, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster on each player's field; until the end of this turn, that opponent's monster loses ATK equal to this card's ATK, and if it does, that monster you control gains ATK equal to this card's ATK.

It can be special summoned while depending on the opponent, and has the effect of lowering the attack power of the opponent's monster and increasing the attack power of your own monster.

Since the Pendulum effect can also lower the opponent's monster's ATK Stat, it is very useful for Odd-Eyes Deck, which is not good at handling High ATK Beater monsters.

Well, you could tech in some Gaia cards. Get creative XD

But to answer the question: Spiral Flame Strike is one of the key cards. You really want all of the copies you can get. 3x is the optimal build and it's highly recommended. Without that, the deck might still work but it's significantly weaker.

Aether can't be used as tech since the skill restricts the archetypes you can use for your main deck down to just Performapals, Odd-Eyes and Pendulum Magicians.

It depends on the build. If you're using a lot of Quick spells and Traps, then it might be a good idea to use a skill that adds Pendulum zones. But with the release of Arc Pendulum Dragon, the skill Pendulum Booster is really good.

Really!!??
