Sky Iris | Field Spell |
Pendulum Genesis [UR] | |
Your opponent cannot target "Magician", "Performapal", or "Odd-Eyes" cards in your Pendulum Zones with card effects. You can target 1 other face-up card you control; destroy it, and if you do, add 1 "Odd-Eyes" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Sky Iris" once per turn. |
Mainly to search for Arc Pendulum or Odd-Eyes Pendulum from the deck. Activate this on your field first before you put a monster in a pendulum zone to prevent your opponent from interrupting your pendulum summon.
Pendulum Call | Normal Spell |
Fantastic Arc [SR] | |
Discard 1 card; add 2 "Magician" Pendulum Monsters with different names from your Deck to your hand, also, until the end of your opponent's next turn after this card resolves, "Magician" cards in your Pendulum Zones cannot be destroyed by card effects. You can only activate 1 "Pendulum Call" per turn. You cannot activate this card if you activated a "Magician" monster's Pendulum Effect this turn. |
Lets you search for specific magicians from the deck. If you don't have any monsters in your pendulum zone, you can pick up Stargazer and Dragonpit so you can start pendulum summoning.
Dragonpulse is a high scale, so it's not a good pair if you want to use Sky Iris to fetch Arc Pendulum. It also has a decent ATK for a level 4 monster, which is what you'll want to summon if you can Xyz into rank 7 Ebon Illusion Magician.
Necrovalley | Field Spell |
Selection Box Vol. 02 [UR] Dark Dimension [UR]
All "Gravekeeper's" monsters gain 500 ATK and DEF. Cards in the Graveyard cannot be banished. Negate any card effect that would move a card in the Graveyard to a different place. Negate any card effect that changes Types or Attributes in the Graveyard. |
Necrovalley partially shuts down Infernoid, prevents The Phantom Knights from activating their graveyard effect to search or send cards, prevents Spellbooks from activating their best card, prevents Neos Fusion from protecting Elemental HERO Brave Neos, and that’s just no name a few of the instances in which this Field Spell can either win you the Duel or severely hinder your opponent.
Black Rose Dragon | FIRE Dragon ★7 ATK 2400 / DEF 1800 |
Blazing Rose [UR] | |
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can destroy all cards on the field. Once per turn: You can banish 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard, then target 1 Defense Position monster your opponent controls; change that target to face-up Attack Position, and if you do, its ATK becomes 0 until the end of this turn. |
Useful to wipe the board, but can be risky if you don't have any follow-up since this also destroys your cards in the pendulum zones. You can make this by using Nobledragon Magician's hand/grave effect on an Odd-Eyes monster on your field.
Ancient Fairy Dragon | LIGHT Dragon ★7 ATK 2100 / DEF 3000 |
Secrets of the Ancients [UR]
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersOnce per turn: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your hand. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect. Once per turn: You can destroy as many Field Spell Cards on the field as possible, and if you do, gain 1000 LP, then you can add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. |
If your opponent has a field spell, you can use this to reliably search for Sky Iris, or to just gain some LP. The effect of being able to special summon another level 4 probably isn't going to be used since the low levels don't need to be on the field unless you need to tribute into Aether.
Ignister Prominence, the Blasting Dracoslayer | FIRE Dragon ★8 ATK 2850 / DEF 0 |
Selection Box Vol.05 [SR]
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Pendulum Monsters Once per turn: You can target 1 Pendulum Monster on the field or 1 card in the Pendulum Zone; destroy it, and if you do, shuffle 1 card on the field into the Deck. Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 "Dracoslayer" monster from your Deck in Defense Position, but it cannot be used as a Synchro Material for a Summon. |
If you can already pendulum summon without using Stargazer Magician, you can search for Stargazer with Pendulum Call and pendulum summon it so you can synchro into Ignister Prominence with Nobledragon Magician as the tuner.
Ignister Prominence has a pretty strong card removal effect, and the cost of destroying a card on your field can be beneficial if you have Arc Pendulum as one of the pendulum zones.
Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon | DARK Dragon ★7 ATK 3000 / DEF 2500 |
Cross Dimension [UR] | |
Pendulum Effect Once per turn, if you have no cards in your other Pendulum Zone: You can place 1 Pendulum Monster from your Deck in your Pendulum Zone. Monster Effect 2 Level 7 Dragon-Type monsters If you can Pendulum Summon Level 7, you can Pendulum Summon this face-up card in your Extra Deck. If this card is Xyz Summoned by using an Xyz Monster as a Material: Destroy as many Level 7 or lower monsters your opponent controls as possible, inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each card destroyed, and if you do, this card can make 3 attacks during each Battle Phase this turn. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can destroy as many cards in your Pendulum Zones as possible (min. 1), and if you do, place this card in your Pendulum Zone. |
One of the Big Boss monsters of this Deck that has 3000 ATK stats.
If you Xyz Summoned this Card by using monsters including 1 Xyz Monster, Rebellion Dragon will gains effect that can destroy as many as Lvl 7 or lower monsters you opponent controls, then inflict max. 1500 damage to your opponent for each card destroyed. Also, you can make 3 attacks during each Battle Phase on that turn which will deals massive amount damage to your opponent.
Dark Armed, the Dragon of Annihilation | DARK Dragon ★7 ATK 2800 / DEF 1000 |
Chaotic Soldiers [UR] | |
2+ Level 7 monsters Once per turn, if you have exactly 5 DARK monsters in your GY, you can also Xyz Summon "Dark Armed, the Dragon of Annihilation" by using 1 Level 5 or higher DARK Dragon monster you control as material. You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it, then banish 1 card from your GY, also, this card cannot attack for the rest of this turn. |
Lets you destroy 2 cards in a turn, but you'll need to have at least 1 card in the grave to use its effect. The deck also doesn't have a way to recover banished cards, so you'll have to be careful about using it.
Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack | WIND Machine ★7 ATK 2600 / DEF 2200 |
Sign of Harpies [UR] | |
2 Level 7 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 2 "Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens" (Machine-Type/WIND/Level 3/ATK 0/DEF 0). While you control a Token, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 "Mecha Phantom Beast" monster, then target 1 card on the field; destroy that target. This card cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect. |
Worth using if you already have 2 level 7 monsters on your field at the start of the turn. You can Xyz into this at the start of your turn for a card removal before you commit with your other plays. Unfortunately, it can't attack the turn you use it, and you'll only have 1 free monster zone if you do this.
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon | DARK Dragon ★4 ATK 2500 / DEF 2000 |
Phantom of Rebellion [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes half its current ATK, and if it does, this card gains that lost ATK. |
General Rank 4 Xyz Monster for players to use so far. Its effect essentially lets you deal 2500 (its own ATK) damage if this attacks the monster you targeted. The advantage is that your opponent's monster's ATK is also lowered, allowing you to attack over it with your other weaker monsters.
Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon | DARK Dragon ★7 ATK 2800 / DEF 2400 |
Selection Box Vol.03 Mini [SR]
2 Level 7 monsters Cannot be destroyed by card effects while it has Xyz Material. While this card has Xyz Material, each time your opponent activates a card or effect, inflict 500 damage to your opponent immediately after it resolves. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 "Red-Eyes" Normal Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. |
A lot of decks often uses a lot of cards to make a combo play, so summoning this can be incredibly strong if you get first turn to deal a lot of damage.
However, it's not recommended to end with just this on the field with no other monsters since there are many monster removal options that can lead to an OTK. Having this with another Odd-Eyes and Arc as one of the scales can be a decent safe board to prevent an OTK.
Number 11: Big Eye | DARK Spellcaster ★7 ATK 2600 / DEF 2000 |
Heart of Xyz [SR] | |
2 Level 7 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; take control of that monster. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. |
A decent Rank 7 Xyz monster that can take control of 1 of your opponent's monsters permanently (this effect is target-effect which will be useless to those monsters that cannot be targeted). However, Big Eyes cannot attack when this effect is activated which will cause a low possibility of OTK for sometimes.
Gaia Dragon, the Thunder Charger | WIND Dragon ★7 ATK 2600 / DEF 2100 |
Infinite Ray [SR] | |
2 Level 7 monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a Rank 5 or 6 Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. |
This takes advantage of the Book of Moons in the deck, which are incredibly strong as a disruption card.
Since the deck struggles with dealing against monsters above 2700 ATK, you can go after their defense by using Book of Moons and this to deal piercing damage, or Minitaurus' pendulum effect. Be sure to use the skill to get an ATK boost too.
Ebon Illusion Magician | DARK Spellcaster ★7 ATK 2500 / DEF 2100 |
Pendulum Genesis [SR] | |
2 Level 7 monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a Rank 6 Spellcaster-Type Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 Spellcaster-Type Normal Monster from your hand or Deck. When a Spellcaster-Type Normal Monster declares an attack: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; banish it. You can only use this effect of "Ebon Illusion Magician" once per turn. |
Odd-Eyes on your field + Nobeldragon Magician in your hand lets you synchro into Meteorburst Dragon. This can then lead to a rank 7 Xyz if you have an Odd-Eyes monster as one of the scales. Going into Ebon Illusion means you can special summon Dragonpulse Magician from the deck so you can use Ebon Illusion's effect to banish a card when Dragonpulse attacks.
Number 28: Titanic Moth | FIRE Insect ★7 ATK 2400 / DEF 2200 |
Shark Fang [R] | |
2 Level 7 monsters If you control no other monsters, this card can attack directly, but when it does so using this effect, the battle damage inflicted to your opponent is halved. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each card in their hand. |
Helps bypass monsters that are difficult to deal with. You can use the skill to gain a +400 ATK increase if you have Arc as one of the scales. This lets you deal 1400 + 500 from Moth's effect.
Number 7: Lucky Straight | LIGHT Fairy ★7 ATK 700 / DEF 700 |
Sign of Harpies [R] | |
3 Level 7 monsters You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; roll a six-sided die twice and this card's ATK becomes the larger number rolled × 700 until your opponent's next End Phase, then if the total roll was exactly 7, apply 1 of these effects. ● Send all other cards on the field to the Graveyard. ● Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or from either Graveyard. ● Draw 3 cards, then discard 2 cards. |
Uses a lot of resource just to summon, which rarely makes it worth it, but can be situationally useful if your monster(s) ever get locked up with something like Fiendish Chain.

Mekk-knights are the most bothersome matchups but have the clearest way to victory if you draw a back row removal to disrupt their negation combo. If you can’t activate your skill and have Performapal Second Donkey(s) in hand, it is best to save it as there is a high likelihood of drawing into an Odd-Eyes card the next turn.

Always get Volofirgenes out on the field on your first turn. Aim to use Trishula Zero and Number 11: Big Eye to counterattack from Turns 2 and 3. Switch out Evilswarm Nightmare for Steelswarm Roach, depending on what targets you can counter.

"I just happened to reach King of Games with a Night Beam and no Minotaur as part of the balancing. I also took out the Magician Xyz combo for Big Eye as that worked better late game.- Use Night Beam to pick off Void cards and other lower Speed Spell cards that Mystical Space Typhoon can’t interrupt.
