1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
During your Main Phase: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your hand. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect. During your Main Phase: You can destroy as many cards in the Field Zones as possible (min. 1), and if you do, gain 1000 LP, then you can add 1 Field Spell with a different name than the destroyed card(s), from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Ancient Fairy Dragon" once per turn.

Use A Legendary Ocean to turn your level 5 WATER monsters into level 4 monsters which you can then special summon with Ancient Fairy Dragon's effect.

Use Zombie World to turn all your opponent's graveyard monsters into Zombies. Special summon Paladin of Cursed Dragon with Ancient Fairy Dragon's effect and revive a low-leveled monster in your opponent's graveyard to swarm your field.

Switch Attack and Defense

Since having a good attack stat is usually more useful than a good defense stat, so you can use cards like Inverse Universe, Shield and Sword, and Ojama Country to switch these stats.

Skills

Twins Together adds Double Ripple to your hand which could be a good way of summoning Ancient Fairy Dragon along with Power Tool Dragon.

Can be used when your LP is 1000 or below. Add 1 "Double Ripple" from your deck to your hand. This skill can be used once per Duel. 		Luna

Use Spell Recycle: Field to return Field spells sent to the graveyard by Ancient Fairy Dragon's effect to gain LP back to your deck. An upgraded version of this skill is Field Restock which does almost the same as Spell Recycle: Field but this time it adds 1 Field card from your graveyard to hand and another Field card form graveyard to the deck. The downside is that you do not choose the Field spells to be added and you can only use Field Restock once per duel.

Well done Konami.

Whenever I have the card to summon this guy 1st turn, guess what. I have BOTH field spells in starting hand.

When my field spellS are at the bottom of the deck, I'm not given any monsters to summon Fairy Dragon.

I make 30 cards deck to decrease chance of drawing spells but I still draw it before summoning FD.

I called him that because to me marvel fan looks more like a missionnary than like a troll. a troll makes you waste time. he's instead just a crusader trying to convince people to stop being f2p.

I do admit that the other dude isn't completely wrong either. Marvel Fan didn't exactly lie when he said P2W cards > F2P cards.

I love how the signer dragons are all like, only useful in a handful of situations but *extremely* effective in those situations.

AFD is even so effective, she gets banned (as in Forbidden, not just Limited) in both OCG and TCG.

It's amusing to remember she used to be thought as one of the worst Signer Dragon. And yet, she ends up the first and the only one to be Forbidden.

Unfortunately it also guarantees we're not getting those cards in DL, since AFD is also available via skill, and there's no way they can ban AFD because of that.

I know you can trigger your own Geartown if you choose to not search a new field spell afterwards

Too bad there's no NPC that use Geartown, so can't test that easily, I'm sure as hell not going to try testing that in PVP.

Shield and Sword is temporary, however.

Inverse Universe's change lasts until AFD is removed from the field.

You know what would be great? Shield Attack equip spell from GX anime.

Switch the original ATK & DEF of the equipped monster, and only the equipped monster, as long as it remains equipped.

Inverse Universe's issue is that it also affect your other monsters, so it's only good when AFD is the only face-up monster you control. However, IU also affect opponent's monster, so it still has its use.

If I recall correctly, so far all of the anime cards in DL are present in Tag Force series, while Shield Attack is not, so I don't know if we're ever going to get Shield Attack.

But it sure would be nice to get that card.

i used raiden, i ran simulation in my head, it's just not as fast as i wanted, eg: only feeder for pulse; so i run black rose instead, more efficient..

No Dragon Ravine or Destrudo combo in Duel Links so AFD is fine to be released. It maybe not a tier 1 material but it is still a good card : generic synchro, huge DEF, nice effect

It isn't even part of the archetype, since the name is Black-Winged while the archetype is Blackwing.

I am not sure but I have heard from another duelist that they faced Ancient Fairy Dragon AG so I am sure that it will work but you might want to test it first.

You would have to say no when it asks if you want to search for a field spell from your deck. So you only get one or the other.
