This page notes details of D/D/D Gust High King Alexander (WIND/Fiend/Synchro/Effect Monster) : decks, tips, effect and rulings. Learn and enjoy playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links!
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters If 3 or more "D/D/D" monsters are on the field, this card gains 3000 ATK. If another "D/D" monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned to your field while this monster is on the field (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 "D/D" monster in your GY; Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of "D/D/D Gust High King Alexander" once per turn.
ATK boost effect requires you to control 3 D/D/D monsters.
Revival effect is only triggered when you summon a D/D monster.
Tips
The revival effect can be used to revive D/D/D monsters which helps activate his first effect.
Summoning
You can Normal Summon D/D Nighthowl to revive D/D Typhon, D/D/D Dragon King Pendragon, or D/D/D Gust King Alexander and use both monsters to make D/D/D Gust High King Alexander.
D/D Berfomet can also be used because of his ability to change his own level.
You can use D/D Swirl Slime with another D/D monster to make a D/D/D Fusion monster. Then banish D/D Swirl Slime in your graveyard to Special Summon D/D/D Dragon King Pendragon. This fills your field with D/D/D monsters to trigger Gust High King Alexander’s ATK boost.
Might be a bug, but figured I'd bring it up anyway. D/D/D Gust High King Alexander's attack boost seems to negate when hit with attack lowering effects, such as Wall of Disruption or Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragons effect. Not sure if it cancels after the effect is already in place, but in a duel just now I had Dark Rebellion use it's effect on Alexander before his attack boost, when I met the requirement to get the attack boost it didn't trigger.
Despite the DD effects this is a completely generic synchro. If you like lv2 tuner monsters put it in your extra deck and when you get Lava Golemed, turn that 🔥 into this big king.
We already have Ascension Sky Dragon for generic level 10 synchro, BUT I agree that this one is potentially the better choice.
Ascension Sky Dragon relies on the number of cards in your hand for its ATK, and its other effect requires all the synchro materials to be in your Graveyard meaning it cannot activate since Lava Golem would be in your opponent's Graveyard.
Yeah it really sucks that the second effect is useless in that case. Burnborg Jet gives you a weak attack monster that can self destroy to take an opponent's face up card with it... I used to use that one before.
This one is a big vanilla beater in this case, while Deskbot Jet is weak but can take another card down with it. Both this card and Deskbot Jet are definitely the better choice than Ascension Sky Dragon.
Yeah. I’d only take Dragon Ascension in a deck meant to summon him by normal means (so you’ll tend to have both monsters in your botch), not as a tech.
