TurokJL | Endless Trap Hell | March 22 |
A comment from TurokJL:
in this season my deck for KOG is Amazoness with silent swordsman. The main point of the deck is to invoke the swordsman in the first turn because in the current format denying magic is essential (AG, Vampires, Spellbook) the only problem is the dinos but thanks to the floodgate and Canadia you can stop them for a while in what you get a good field and being the dinosaurs upside down cannot activate your trap card

Saturday | Restart | March 4 |
A comment from Saturday:
Basic Spellbooks, no spice. Hit KoG day 2 after reset with a 66% winrate in 97 games with the deck. Would have played 2 Floodgates if I had them. The deck can be very hit or miss sometimes.
Play Restart instead of Mind Scan, every backrow in this meta is either Canadia or Floodgate and there are no battle traps to worry about. Play around those two traps and you'll win consistently. Restart only when bricked

A comment from Seth:
Don't play this deck after the ban list. I use six searchers (3 Gozukis and 3 Samurais) and I still brick occasionally. When one Samurai and Enemy Controller (usually the main win condition) are removed, deck will be bad.

A comment from KaizerJhay:
For Koaki and AG
Use econ of canadias. during my legend run i sometimes used simultanuos loss
first set.up your field.spell while at their draw phase then when they summon their monster ( E.G Urknight ) activate simultanous loss to pop their monster
For AG most of the time i pop their geartown so they can summon A.G dragon then i just suck.it w/ my Vampire Vamp
For Dinos and Spellbook
This ones is going to be hard and a bit tricky so focus and think ahead.
Spellbooks when they summon blue boy econ.take it so they cant summon silent magian. that already -1 of their play
Dinos pray that your wont get OTK bcoz i loss to dinos more times than i remember.
P.S: i removed Simultanuos loss bcoz i realise during night time their are less dinos and SB players around.

Emperor | Switcheroo | March 19 |
A comment from Emperor:
Vampires still powerful even with the hit of the banlist. This deck actually have dealt with every meta deck, even the mirror match of unerfed Vampires and the dirty unerfed Koakis. Sometimes you lose to Hey Trunade, but most of time you have great match up against them if they don't have anyway to remove backrow (of course).
Obviously, the deck lost huge consistency and can brick many times, but you have some staples to stall with. Vampires still need a lot of thinking, and even more with the nerf as you won't have the Econ option to deal with high ATK monsters like AG, which is why you need Vamp for them. Overall, great deck, banlist dropped its consistency but still powerful and enjoyable, I love it.

Knife | Beatdown | March 21 |
A comment from Knife:
Vampire Vamp lets you steal any monster with 2000 or more ATK. And with the combo of Vampire Kingdom and Vampire Grace/Simultaneous Loss it is easy to destroy cards your opponent controls (and it can be used to make your opponent lose the important cards for their deck)

Lets dKule! | Switcheroo | March 31 |
A comment from Lets dKule!:
Note: Vamps aint dead and even post-nerf they can still handle whatever is going on in the meta. Chalice for Yubel, Koaki is dead, and VS AG just don’t set anything (ANYTHING!). Was lucky enough not to run into many dinos but just play smart and it shouldn’t be to difficult. Vamp was mvp.

TeaBestGirl | Level Tuning | March 30 |
A comment from TeaBestGirl:
You either have cube in your starting hand, and you stall to your second turn for a synchro, or you don't have cube and you play the deck similarly to how anti-meta Armades. You use Vylon Soldier and Vylon Filament to brawl down masked heros. Or you use Sigma and Power of the Guardians to control the board. Skull Meister handles Yubel, gear town, and dinos. Mirror wall lets you activate Level Tuning and summon Vylon Epsilon.
This deck is really weak to high attack early if they can set up their field first. If you're vs Gear Town Turbo and they go first and get out reactor dragon, the game is basically lost unless you have treacherous.

GoEzOnMe | What Grows in the Graveyard | March 23 |
A comment from GoEzOnMe:
finally, KOG with fun deck is so satisfying, quite difficult this season cause some koaki player is rushing to KOG before banlist thanks to yubel bcs her popularity stardust got some usefulness in here, but the fact is i rarely seen her, ofc AG & koaki still dominating the ladder
Match up :
1.yubel : i rarely seen her since i got legend 3, most of the time is AG and koaki, its should be ez against this match up, meeting her nemesis "stardust".
2.dino : idk why i never seen this deck during climb on legend, stardust is also nemesis of this deck, the only threats is canadia.
3.AG : this one is crazy, quite difficult do deal but psychic nightmare is 4k beater, most AG is confident with their 3k beater so you know the outcome right? Sometimes stardust can deny their combo, 65% win 35% lose
4.koaki : as long as they don't draw hey trunade or at least you have staple to defense yourself , you have a chance to make an epic comeback, 50% win 50% lose.
If u ever reach KOG with your fun deck raise your hand bud, people never know how satisfying when you summon ace monster with a line in it.

Leeroy8138 | My Name Is Yubel | March 28 |
A comment from Leeroy8138:
Explanation
This deck is basically a Yubel deck with a small Reactor Dragon engine. As a result, this deck is played like a normal Yubel deck with the option to go into Reactor Dragon for an OTK. Note that the OTK is optional and not the only win condition in the deck. Also don't worry about the card count, between Yubel floating and Pathfinder searching field spells, it ends up fine.
Don't think about running this deck with anything but My Name Is Yubel. You wouldn't run a regular Yubel Deck without it, and that doesn't change just because there's an additional engine in this deck.
Yaksha and Pathfinder are used to get to Terror incarnate. Yaksha can also be used with Gear town replacing Fire King Island to destroy Geartown to bring out Reactor Dragon.
3 Skull Meister are used to consistently counter graveyard shenanigans common in legend, as well as for having a monster to summon and start beating the opponent to death if they brick. Phoenix might seem unnecessary with Reactor Dragon present but he clears backrow when you can't get to Reactor and is also free summon off Fire King Island.
Use the Yubels, enemy controller, and trap hole as normal. Yubel to destroy opponents monsters, enemy controller for attack prevention/monster steal shenanigans, and trap hole to prevent too much enemy swarm.
