RatingB

Pros

  • Strong ATK stats.
  • Able to Special Summon other Gladiator Beasts upon successfully attacking and remain on the field.
  • Can be easily summoned out to the field without tribute.

Cons

  • Must remain on the field after battle to trigger effect.

Tips

  • This Gladiator Beast is a good startup of your Gladiator Beasts Special Summon combo because of its stats it is suitable to attack your opponent and trigger its effect.
  • This card is required to be on the field if you are looking to summon Heraklinos.
  • Some of the good combos to bring out after Laquari attacks are Bestiari to destroy opponent’s face-down Spell/Traps, Murmillo to destroy opponent’s face-up monster, or Secutor to prepare for swarming. Bear in mind, Bestiari’s effect of destroying face-down Spell/Traps is a mandatory effect, if your opponent does not have any Spell/Traps, you must destroy your own. Murmillo’s effect is also mandatory in destroying 1 face-up monster (face-down monsters cannot be targeted). If opponent has no face-u monsters, you must destroy your own face-up monster.

Archetype Support

This field spell is specifically tailored for Gladiator Beasts, and it increases their ATK and DEF by 100 for every Special summon counters this card has. The counter increases for every Special summon conducted by either players.

Use this to protect Laquari in order to successfully activate its effect.

Grants the Gladiator Beast the ability to destroy 1 Spell/Trap during End Phase after it attacks. This card will return directly to your hand if the equipped Gladiator Beast is returned to your deck.

Negates activation of Spell card and destroys it, but you need to return 1 Gladiator Beast monster from your hand to your deck as cost. This is useful to prevent cards like Enemy Controller, Super Rush Headlong, Tribute to the Doom, and even Ritual Spell cards.

Negates activation of trap card and destroys it, but you need to return 1 Gladiator Beast monster from your hand to your deck as cost. This is useful to prevent Floodgate Trap Hole that can jeopardize your Gladiator Beasts’ effects.

Use this cards to increase your draw power. This is particularly useful to shuffle unwanted Gladiator Beasts back to your deck because their Special summon is from your deck.

Laquari is back to action

Why are there no comments for this awesome GB? LOL, as one of the most important member in a GB deck, I'm surprised its very silent here.

They're all busy in 8th Full Box: Galactic Origin thread, throwing 🔥s with each other, trolling, flaming, impersonating, judging and all sorts stuff. Let them be, or else they will spread like malaria in other pages and we don't want that to happen.

I need 2 or 3 of them. Only have 1 right now. It's one of the key cards in the deck I want to build ! And I love the art, too.

Yea, Laquari is the leader & Heraklinos is the master. Definite the "best" overall cards in GB, but my fav are Hopolomus & Spartacus/Gaoidiaz. I wish they, Darius, Esqueste, and the rest of the Spell/Traps were released as well.

Even w/out them & a MP2 tho, GB should be able to handle themselves in DL. I just fear that all the decks will be just straight power-based...which they might have to be

Heraklinos is kinda difficult to summon

It literally took me 180 packs to just get this card twice... But I need it 3 times and since it's SR, I had to restart. Currently at 121, stacking up to total of 301 packs, or 15050 gems just to get this guy thrice.

I feel like this game just purposely messes with me, cause I literally have every UR of these packs twice, but I can't get one SR in 121 packs

Yes, and the misery does NOT stop there, 3 Floodgates needed for a very optimal build, which is in a main box. I believe that if you don't have the patience to get these 6 cards mentioned, you will not enjoy GB at its fullest.

3 floodgates is not needed. It's bricky when you draw at the wrong time (basically going second, or opponent summoned monster first). 2 is enough

The most important cards are those which switch the battle position to defense mode

Tried the sample deck, couldn't see it's attack change to 2100 after special summon by the destroyed GB, any clue?

You can only tag in with a GB that made it through the battle phase alive. If you brought it in with something like Test Ape, the effect doesn't activate.
