Funeral Games | Mythic Depths | Oct 31 |
A comment from Funeral Games:
This is a modified version of the Abyss Undine deck using Hallucigenia and SSA for support. The basic idea is to get either Citadel or Abyssmegalo out as quickly as possible using either the Atlantean cards or Genex Undine's effect. Citadel can be special summoned from the hand or the graveyard, so it has good synergy with Abyssmegalo and Undine. When you have both available you should generally choose Citadel over Abyssmegalo because of its negation power and the free SSA set. Citadel can negate and destroy any card that targets it or another Water monster individually.
The Atlanteans give you back and frontrow removal. Undine allows you to dump a variety of cards to the graveyard for various effects. You can dump Fishborg and then immediately summon it to your field for Citadel. You can dump one of the Atlanteans for card removal. You can dump Citadel and then immediately summon it if you have another monster on the field.
SSA makes it easier to keep your monsters alive and allows you to dodge most card effects (make sure you always have your toggle switch set ON). If you can get Citadel and Abyssmegalo out together with SSA it's very hard to lose. Any Water monster (including the Atlanteans, Fisborg and Hallucigenia) can be used for special summoning Citadel or to activate Abyssmegalo's special effect. Abyssmegalo can attack twice per turn with its effect, giving it OTKO potential. Dragon Ice's effect can also save you from being OTKO'd by many of the meta decks.
Extra deck support is included with Stardust Dragon and Hydro Genex, but you'll rarely get either of those cards out. Hydro works with SSA, while Stardust is just a good card overall. The main goal is to get a big Water monster out as soon as possible and start clearing your opponent's field. This deck is surprisingly resilient and largely resistant to bricking.
Hallucigenia is used over Canadia because it comes out of the same box as Genex Undine, and it can also be used like an offensive Mirror Wall. If you want to include a stronger backrow I recommend swapping Fishborg for Treeborn Frog, as you'll often end up dumping your spells/traps into the graveyard with Fishborg's effect. One SSA is used because most intelligent players banish Umi with Cosmic Cyclone, and after that SSA is useless. Econ, WoD, Chalice, Floodgate and Mirror Wall all work well as support. In general this deck either wins or loses in the first four turns, but it has good durability if you can get SSA up with a strong monster.

`lloc | Holy Guard | Oct 25 |
A comment from `lloc:
Use Field-Commander of Rahz to search out your princess and place her on top of your deck so you can draw her next turn. Wind-Up Juggler is to get rid of any monster that stands in your way. Curse of Anubis is to chain any effects that trigger. Amazons is still top tier in my book.

A comment from Eliminate :3:
I took my time this month, as I wanted to help prove that life isn't over for the Amazoness archetype following the update. I've always had a much higher win-rate with Holy Guard than with Endless Trap Hell, and that doesn't seem to have changed. I swept through Legend 1 & 2, while 3 proved to be a bit more of a back and forth challenge before I hit KOG. The deck itself is fairly self-explanatory. The biggest concern you'll have is bad luck.

A comment from Tnobes99:
Amazoness are not dead! For my 5th KOG in a row, I took my Amazoness Hero list pre banlist and modified it to fit in this current meta. I went 15-1 going from Legend 1 to KOG. The addition of Decider not only makes the Mask Changes you run more consistent, but it truly makes this deck one that should be feared in the current meta. I firmly believe this is the best way to play Amazon after the nerf.

A-Weave | Reinforcement | Oct 29 |
A comment from A-Weave:
Notes on deck:
Reached KOG again this month using the hybrid of amazons and Red-eyes again like I did last month, but this time with a complete different build because the last version didn’t stand a good chance with how mixed the meta is now with all of the different decks especially blue eyes, buster blader, and glad beasts.
I had a hard time this month reaching KOG since it wasn’t the same 3-4 decks build like last month. I tried many deck types and just couldn’t get past legend 3 and ranked down multiple times, so I went back to my red eyes and amazons and made a lot of changes to fit this meta. Even though it’s 22 cards this deck is really consistent especially with reinforcements in case you do brick or just need a warrior.
I used mirror to keep the monsters protected, from hey trunade or to get the life point reduction to get a warrior. This deck can go for a quick Otk because you can swarm monsters on the field thanks to onslaught and red eyes spirit also with the help of drowning mirror force. Save flood gate for the big boss monsters like cosmo brain or monsters that just wreck you each turn like vampire grace as well. You play your strategy according to your opponent.
Onslaught is only a secondary effect, I did not use it as a primary to win unless necessary to such as vampires, blue eyes, but have to use wisely since you have one and to glad beasts. But primary objective is to swarm the field with red eyes slash or regular red eyes to protect yourself from effects and lock it down with jinzo if necessary for the win. It was easy to confuse the opponent cuz he would either see red eyes or amazons and then combo them both spectacularly to reach KOG.

traphunter | Shadow Game | Oct 29 |
A comment from traphunter:
This is my first time kog, this deck make it happen.
Just use the flip effect of each monster to sent enemy monster to the graveyard and the shadow game will do the rest. The combination of needle ceiling and fires of doomsday will also help you to fill enemies graveyard with their monster. The golden bug will heal your LP.

Alex FIBO | A Trick up the Sleeve | Oct 23 |
A comment from Alex FIBO:
It works much better with 3 silver scream. The white stone gives the possibility that if you start the match on your next turn have a blue eyes.

Manjoume | A Trick up the Sleeve | Oct 23 |
A comment from Manjoume:
“A Trick up the Sleeve” allows you to decrease the brick rate. However this deck can brick sometimes. It has a good matchup against Zombies, Blue-Eyes, Amazoness, etc, but it has a hard time going first against Blue-Eyes, so Sphere Kuriboh, Majesty with Eyes of Blue and Treacherous Trap Hole are key cards.
Using this skill gives you the chance to summon Stardust Dragon and this card is a win condition against Yubel Fire King Island deck.
Do not use cards like Hey Trunade, Galaxy Cyclone and Cosmic Cyclone, because you can brick with those cards, try to abuse Spirit Dragon to remove the backrow. Also, do not use Cosmo Brain in your first turn in the mirror match, because your monsters will be destroyed if your opponent special summoned his Cosmo Brain + Blue-Eyes. The same goes if you are using Beatdown.

Luxferrer | A Trick up the Sleeve | Oct 24 |
A comment from Luxferrer:
This deck easy to OTK. I’m focus to 1st clear Trap/Spell by Lyla, Distructotron, Galaxy Cyclone and Cosmic Cyclone. 2nd Destroy anything by tribute Psychic Ace combo and remove Trap/Spell by Spirit of White with 3-Silver’s Cry. Finally, I use 2-Bingo like I have 5-Spirit of White in my deck and decrease Blue-Eyes instead.

makerwulf | A Trick up the Sleeve | Oct 29 |
A comment from makerwulf:
So you run this deck pretty much the same you get your Cosmo toss your blue eyes if you have psychic Ace or snipe Hunter you just clear the field this is a otk deck so second or 4th turn it should end the match does good against most matchups except spell book unless you can just outsmart spell book you will have a hard time...
I didn't run into Buster Blader much but you have enough resources to take them out will snipe Hunter and psychic Ace can do the job and I run double Cosmo brain cuz they like to kill it off so a back up doesn't hurt
