The secret in this deck is the skill spell specialist. With this skill you have always a spell card in your opening hand and most of the times grass. I tried this deck with other skills but spell specialist is by far the best.

Mr.Asahel | Balance | Oct 23 |
A comment from Mr.Asahel:
I opted for balance to increase my chances for a dna surgery and welp. Welp searches destruction fusion and karma. Karma is so good vs vampires and blue eyes and other decks because it removes their gy and increases atk to make sure you otk.
Rebirth is there for end phase welp to special summon buster blader become fusion material or to syncro into startdust if destruction is feared. Hex sealed fusion gives axis to dark paladin and functions as a buster blader as well.Dark paladin is to good to pass up and defends you from e cons and fusions in the mirror. E con is limited for a reason lol!!! Happy dueling!!!

Buster Blader is very reliant on DNA Surgery when you are not playing against BEWD. But if you do get it off, it can handle a lot of decks. DNA Surgery + DSF can reliably take out most Yubel decks by using their monsters as fusion materials. Vampires can also be caught off guard and have their combo plays interrupted by a well-timed DSF.

A comment from WildCard:
I waited the nerf to really play the ranked this month. This deck is more powerful than its looks.
Focus on searching with Cannon, the Edge and Horn, the one that best fits the situation. With Cannon equipped, use to mill either Bacon Saver or Keel.
Use Switcheroo to send the Cyberdark impact in case you already have the Claw in hand, same with Bacon Saver. Cyclone helps drop the LP.
This deck have many win conditions, use them wisely.

Angelo | The Tie that Binds | Oct 27 |
A comment from Angelo:
3 beat is a must now as long as 3 seal to ensure that fur hire monsters are constantly in hand. I run 2 wiz and no donpa (terrified me at 1st because of blue-eyes and their high base atk of all their monsters). However, I was able to make up for it by playing 2 widespread ruin and 2 wall of disruption. 2 wiz helps against heroes and silent magician as well as mako and any spell heavy decks so I chose her over donpa.
I also play 3 recon (due to cutting out donpa. Wanted another special summoner. Recon also combos with floodgate and paleozoic canadia for removal of problematic cards). 1 Dyna (this card does so much and wins most games for me once he hits the field). Also, a thing you'll notice is that I only ran fur hire monsters in the deck. I love the idea of jinzo for the deck, but I didn't want to put myself into a corner because I play a substantial amount of traps so I left him out.
Only 1 mayhem (the quickly monster reborn) scared me at 1st because I was thinking about not being able to properly establish good field or hand prescence, however because of the trap choice, I am usually able to withstand turns without losing too much cards from hand or field (both of which are important for fur hires to function correctly).
1 cosmic cyclone to help ensure I get my normal summon when I draw it (the last thing you want to do in this deck is geg your monster slammed face-down). Last but not least, 1 floodgate and 1 paleozoic canadia (to force my opponent's turns to end early).

Broimatti | Balance | Oct 25 |
A comment from Broimatti:
The playstyle is so simple yet effective - even more because atm battle-traps are being played more often. It‘s also still the same like when they were released back in april and i got my first ever KoG with Geargia.
3x Ties + Balance is a must have. Srh is also very good now bcs most decks only use one type of monsters (or 2 - looking at you, Cosmo brain). Canadia is also super nice, the defensive effect helped me win some games I‘d have otherwise lost. People seem to have forgotten how pulse mines works, they masked changed/silver‘s cried like everytime AFTER i used pulse mines (lol).
Last but not least: the spell absorbing life. Going first with this + ties is just devastating for the opponent. I still run it at 1 because i would‘t use more than 6 traps (and 6 spells btw) using balance and pulse mines and canadia are more important now where most decks can spam out multiple 3k+ beaters in just one turn.

Great matchup against Heros, Amazoness and U.A. Did well against most Blue eyes. Drowning/Mirror Wall/Widespread for Blue eyes. Would probably run another Widespread if i had one. The Tuned Magician+Supervise combo is too good to not use plus Canadia gives access to Lv6 synchros.

Dj Avy | Draw Sense: Fire | Oct 27 |
A comment from Dj Avy:
My strategies are to wait but protect myself from high damage or OTK with my traps, spells or kuriboh, almost all duelist will swarm the field with more than one monster, i allow them to attack and do at least 1500 dammage to trigger my skill "Draw Sense: Fire"... And here enters my lava golem.
I don't have to worry about their traps because i rarely attack. Lava Golem will slowly deal damage and with amazoness sword woman, i could attack lava golem to deal damage to my opponent. My deck works well against Amazoness, fur, blue-eyes, u.a, spellbook.. Etc.. but i had tough time against yubel so i added forbidden chalice to counter their effetcs.. Here i am KING OF THE GAME!!!

Premending | Balance | Oct 23 |
A comment from Premending:
I managed to go from Legend 1 to King of Games right after the most recent round of nerfs (but before Power of Bravery). It was a quick KoG run; about 20-30 games in total.
I originally tried running Ties That Bind w/the Polymorph/Malicious package, but Balance (and not running Malicious) are now super-important to up consistency w/only 1 Vyon. I do like running 3rd Drilldark over the 7th trap that some lists run, though; Drilldark is really strong even if he isn’t Decider. The monsters, spells, and traps are pretty stock, but I’ll try to go into some detail on my individual card choices.
Vyon’s not super-important to what this deck does because we don’t have Poly, Malicious, Dreamer, or even a 2nd Celestial. However, TTH is VERY powerful (more than a 2nd Celestial), and even a weaker Vyon is on average more powerful than something like Doom Lord. I considered Witch Raider, but Vyon still gets to draw you 2 cards most of the time, and tributing 2 spells/traps is still a pretty high cost.
Hallucinogen is partially because I don’t have a 3rd Canadia or 2nd MW, but it’s also really clutch and I might like it more than MW. Unlike MW you can use it offensively, and you can fish it out of your GY so you can turn on your TTH later. I might test 2 PH/0 MW at some point.
One final note is that I think it’s important to run a 5-card extra deck, even though only Ankis really matter. It lets you represent Trinity virtually for free, so you might as well let your opponents play around it.
