What is forbidden/limited card?

Forbidden cards are essentially "banned" cards, while limited simply means that you can only put 1 in a deck, semi-limited is up to two in your deck only. Some cards in the OCG/TCG are either forbidden, or limited, and this is due to their ability to create an unbalanced experience for the game.

Ruling

Unlike in the TCG/OCG where you can have multiple limited cards with different names in your deck, in Duel Links you can only have a total of 1 limited card in your deck. For example you have limited card A and limited card B, and you already put 1 card A in your deck, you cannot add card B to your deck even if they are not cards of the same name.
This rule is also true for semi-limited cards in which you can only have a total of 2 semi-limited cards in your deck.

i swear man shiranui level augmentation has to be nerf that skill are overpowered in turn 1 special summon, that's so trash the synchro also need to limited 2 cards, even in gy and their backrow are heavily strong, its fkin stupid.
Anonymous
Didn't knew De-Synchro needs limit, what caused it?

Also lol Gold Sarc getting limited 3. Not even SD EX/Selection Box card is safe now.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Nobody ever mention that anything is safe.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Actually, SR/UR box cards used to be safe.
Then Hey Trunade and TTH got hit, followed by Diamond Core. And now Cosmic Cyclone and Gold Sarc.

Nisinator Reply
It was an ftk with fortune lady's. They would make a dragon with fortune lady past and water, desynchro it to draw a bunch with water, re-syncrho, repeat a bunch of times until you drew your entire deck and burn your oppenent to death with dragon gunfire.
Anonymous
why did they limit charge? makes no sense
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
This card is too strong in Lightsworn decks.
Broken with Spell Skill
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
charge is the most important card in the best mill engine we have in the game currently so it does make sense to limit it to 3 however the nerf that doesnt make any sense is gold sark to 3 which killed thunder dragons completely
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Gold is a splashable card to many decks (shiranui, td, metaphys etc) with 0 drawbacks. It was even limited in tcg for many years.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Its again limited in the tcg and it was thunder dragons abusing it as one card walking floodgate with protection

While I am happy with the new ban list, I am still disappointed about how bad the Truth Universe box that Konami had to announce new ban list just to promote the box
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Truth Universe is so bad not even a new banlist can save it.

Without their full supports, D/D/D and Cyberse are just casual decks at most.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Pretty sure someone made it to DL. Max with Goukis.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
.....Gouki isn't in Truth Universe.
asdasd3
unlimit rose lover
<< Anonymous(asdasd3)
Anonymous Reply
Yeah, Rose Lover should be unlimited again at this point.

If they fear Sylvan again then just semi-limit Komushroomo and Guardioak.
BETA MALE
Frankly. I think all ban lists are meaningless.

Aninymous Reply
Agreed 100%, there is no point in limited 1 limited 2 when there is player that can put 3 cards limited 1 n 2 in his decks, i just realize when check his deck, wtf 30 cards all limited 1,2 and 3 but different name
<< Anonymous(Aninymous)
Anonymous Reply
It is straight up impossible to make a deck full of limited 1, 2, and 3 cards due to how the banlist works in DL.

I assume you're just the same πŸ”₯ OP trying to bump up your brainless thought. There have been lots of examples where a banlist caused a deck to be weakened to the point where people no longer play the deck, so "meaningless" is clearly 100% wrong.
Aninymous
Before malefic decks now favorite decks the current meta but I find they quiet useless when I play ojama decks or grandpa decks,

So mine advice, don't give up, the new release decks actually have many weakness against old box,

Do you believe if I said I defeated shiranui deck using simple monster lvl 2&3 only, no tributed in my decks, no counter trap, no spell destroy monster or destroy spell trap cards, mine deck is LP increase, casual decks, I defeated shiranui, superheavy, dark lord, malefic, favorite, ultimate dragon n quintet using this decks. I've only troubled vs metaphys, gear golem, aroma, either this 3 decks my percent won is high
<< Anonymous(Aninymous)
Aninymous Reply
Correction, mine spell destroy monster but not destroy spell n trap cards
Ben English
heroes meta in 2020, I purchased that deck long ago, no regrets here lol. Konami is the best.

What is the point of limiting Shiranui Squire to 3 if there is no other Shiranui cards limited to 3. Its not like those πŸ”₯ers using that deck is running cosmic cylone or gold sacrophagus!

cyber dragon tier 0 after this banlist. whoever invest on this deck is very lucky.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Blue-Eyes is also close to it when the banlist hits.
<< Anonymous

Cyber dragons are slightly better after the banlist because thunder dragons are dead now but they're far away from being tier 1 or even tier 0

Hey.
I think no deck is dying in the ladder, ban lists are meaningless these days.
