Head Judging

Head Judging
TypeContinuous Trap

When a monster on the field activates its effect: You can make the activating player toss a coin and call it. If they call it right, send this card to the GY. If they call it wrong, negate that effect's activation, and if you do, change control of that monster to their opponent. You can only use this effect of "Head Judging" once per turn.

OtherJoey Wheeler (DSOD) Unlock Event - Memories of a Friend [UR]

  • Negates a monster effect.
  • Takes control of an opponent’s monster.
  • No activation cost.

  • Relies on a coin toss.
  • Destroys itself when the coin toss is called right.

  • Practically a 50-50 chance of negating your opponent’s effect and stealing your opponent’s monster or doing nothing.
  • Head Judging makes your opponent toss the coin so skills involving coin toss wouldn’t work.
  • Since your opponent performs the toss, support such as Second Coin Toss will not work.
  • Be careful not to activate this card on your own monster.

Nope. Coin based skill only works if you are the one tossing the coin. In Head Judging case, it's your opponent who toss the coin

which is great because they cant just guess heads and in a mirror you force thier skill and waste a coin.

So that's why the card 'Second Coin Toss' doesn't work with this trap. :)

It's just used as filler to trigger Master of Destiny. 50% chance of negating a monster effect and stealing it is very strong. And if your opponent loses the coin toss it stays on the field and you can continue using it.
Powerful but risky. Basically good filler to trigger Master of Destiny.
Annoying if your opponent pulls it off. Luckily, I have been calling the coin right, so my opponent hasn’t been able to do anything with it. Once tip is that since it’s a continuous trap, your opponent has to activate it before your monsters activate their effects to pull it off, no chaining. So you can either cosmic this trap, or just not active any monster effects once they active this trap.

It's true that you can stop it with Cosmic Cyclone but it can chain to monster effects.
How do you get it in the shop i have 100 jewels but it still wont let me get it

Head Judging isn't available to purchase, only to upgrade to Glossy or Prismatic.
If it works great, if it doesn’t you don’t get a penalty because it just gets sent to the graveyard, not a fan of luck based decks because I like to have control over what I play, but if I was then I’d definitely consider putting this in
Very luck based, but pretty devastating when it works. Imagine your opponent wasting so much stuff to summon Shiranui Sunsaga / Quintet Magician just to get negated and stolen by you

I have a question. Since it mentions "When a monster on the field activates its effect" & "the activating player", that means that your opponent can use it too? If yes, this is really a bad card.
If not, it may see some play in some Sartorius/Desperado decks. A 50% chance each turn of negate an effect is not that bad actually.

Not sure why you think Second Coin Toss only works on your own coin tosses. It gives no craps who's tossing the coin. (Heck, it even works on cards like The Paths of Destiny that require both to.)

Because it is written in the tip bellow.
I like the artwork tho...

It's only related to the Geargia archetype but it's not part of it.
Thank you very much!
..... and the wind up got winded up.
This deck is pretty good if you get to go first. But yes, going second means it's very hard ...
