  • Clears the entire field, possibly turning the duel around when going against difficult enemy.

  • Low attack when not a lot of cards on the field.
  • Leaves you open after your attack.

Tips, related cards, skills

  • Paying the Life Points will enable draw skills like “Draw Sense” or “Destiny Draw” for your next turn.
  • Recommended to use when your opponent’s LP is low enough to be killed from the attack.
  • Cost Down to reduce the amount of sacrifice needed for tribute which can be good to increase attack if you have more than 1 monsters.
  • Gandora can be tribute set on the field and changed to face up defense position using Desert Sunlight which will not be considered as normal, flip or special summoned so it will not be destroyed in the end phase of that turn.

Wouldn't Forbidden Chalice also prevent it from killing itself?

It would, but it will also lose the ATK it gained, which isn't ideal.

Dimensionhole would be a better way of going about it, so you don't leave a 0 ATK in Attack Position.

Hey guys I'm playing the game for two weeks and I've just unlocked Yugi and when I read GANDORA text I found it's like another monster than the anime version, it destroys spell/trap and gains atk points to atk !!
so are all cards diff from the anime ??

In some cases, anime cards are too OP, with some being completely neutered and others not being adapted at all. In other cases, it just fits the archetype/card better. Not sure how you would count this case.

In this case, Gandora sucked hard in the anime, and was made to suck slightly less here. (But still kinda suck.)

Yeah it sucks to use it really, it's like use to win or get your ... kicked ^_^
So I faced Yugi Mutou in plat, then he summon Gandora and activy the effect and gain 1600 or 1800. In my hand only have swift gaia fierce knight. It attacked me directly. Then my turn i draw enemy controller, I set it so in normal situation I can summon swift gaia, but i cant. So is bug or other effect of Gandora?

Confirmed Access Denied skill since it does not allow you to Normal/Special summon Effect monsters nor use their effects. Your Swift Gaia is effect monster so, yep.

Maybe he have Access denied skills, used after activate gandora effect

Yugi muto uses the skill access denied which states that neither player cant summon an effect monster and effects of effect monsters are blocked, for one turn.
Including effects of effect monsters that activate in the hand.

You had enemy controller in your hand

make this special summon, or this cards is keep stay as shit crap, look at meta deck better, no one uses this dragon crap.
Random question... when gandora activates its effect..can econ be chained ?
So can Slifer the Sky dragon be destroyed by Grandora's effect?Because effects dont work against Egyptian gods right?

Gandora's effect can destroy Osiris, as Osiris (and Ra!) in the effect version lacks the god status immunity.

Obelisk randomly has the immunity for whatever reason, but even then, it's only targeting immunity, Gandora's effect does not target and will destroy Obelisk.
Battled him 13 times no sr or ur with scores like 6000 . Wish I had the seal of oricalco to wack that Mf

Mokuba has a skill that allows him to special summon Gandora so yes you can
Someone just special summoned this card with Mausoleum of the Emperor and it kept clearing the entire field on each turn. Wtf? Surely this must be a bug since the description clearly states it ‘cannot be special summoned’.

It was normal summoned by mausoleum.

I believe it is a normal summon with mausoleum, however I don’t understand how it stays on the field because it should be destroyed at the end phase. I’ve been screwed many times with it. My favorite rebuttal to it is to use mega morph. It just destroyed everything but can’t attack. I was able to cause a deck out win because he kept destroying everything but was unable to attack

If he used yugi muto then he probably activated a skill called Access denied which blocks all effects of monster effects when his life points are 1000 or below....
I use that kind of a deck myself.
what the explaination of "it is destroyed after it was normal summon or flip summon"?

it destroys itself at the end of the turn it was summoned on
shit card, all dragons are shit effect cards, GG
Photon Jet
This monster caused me to misplay hard twice when I was using a Mako deck as it came completely out of nowhere in one duel.

One of the misplays was I thought Umi was still on the field. You have to check the entire field before doing an action as we tend to forget the smallest things.
