What is forbidden/limited card?

Forbidden cards are essentially "banned" cards, while limited simply means that you can only put 1 in a deck, semi-limited is up to two in your deck only. Some cards in the OCG/TCG are either forbidden, or limited, and this is due to their ability to create an unbalanced experience for the game.

Ruling

Unlike in the TCG/OCG where you can have multiple limited cards with different names in your deck, in Duel Links you can only have a total of 1 limited card in your deck. For example you have limited card A and limited card B, and you already put 1 card A in your deck, you cannot add card B to your deck even if they are not cards of the same name.
This rule is also true for semi-limited cards in which you can only have a total of 2 semi-limited cards in your deck.

if you're referring to Shooting Star Road decks, let me tell you that I've faced 8 of those so far, all of them bricked without being able to recover.

I don't know if this could work in DL but can Konami create a new banlist:

Forbidden Banlist : Well the name already explain it.

Hard Banlist : It's similar to DL banlist. For example Dragon Rulers are mostly banned, with this they could release them and set them to 1, same goes to limit 2 and 3.

Soft Banlist : Similar to TCG/OCG rules. For example you can add more limit 1 and 2 cards as long it's different card.

No thanks, I would be happy if the limited rule follows TCG when you can have 2 copies of every single limit 2 card in your deck. In this case they will get more serious with the banlist. Strictly ban everything that should be banned. Not even 1 copy will be allowed.

is it possible for a trading game to implement different ban list for each tier?
For example, rookie has econ unlimited. Then it goes stricter as the tier goes up.

I mean, in theory it would still be possible. But it would create some other problems that has to be solved (what about PvE stuff? What about other PvP events? Does KCGT have a very own banlist? etc.)

I lost count on how many toxic cards deserved to be banned. If I decide the banlist I will not be as kind as Komoney, will definitely throw another 100 cards into limit 2 to balance this toxic meta.

Looking several pages back.....

A lot of people tends to claim "lol wtf are these bad hits, (insert deck name here) is still alive"

.....But not even a month after the hits, nobody use those decks anymore, or the deck dropped in tier and way less people are playing it.

It happened with NK, it happened with Desperado, and I'm very sure it happened even as far back as Sylvan and Fur Hire era.

Again and again it shows, that Konami knows their game more than the players on this site.

Because your "Tournament" have side deck. Also those list are based on those "Tournaments" .
The real scenarios are Ranked PvP and KCCup.

Come on there is no such thing as a side deck. I prefer the best of 5 rules exactly the same like WCS2019. Every single official tournament should be like this. No more than 2x limit2 across all 5 decks. That will test your deck building skill.
