A comment from Solace:
In my matches against the new decks, my Shiranui version got a favorable advantage over Lightsworn but I got trouble dealing with Lunalight(the surprise OTK is the deck's main bread and butter). Things aside, on mirror marches though. I can proudly say that my Shiranui version got an upper hand over versions that run two Samuraisaga. Having an extra Shiranui Squiresaga makes a huge difference(mainly by out damaging and out resourcing your opponents).
My Shiranui deck mainly works by utilizing Shiranui Squire's effect when banished, paired with the retrieval power of Burgeoning Flame Wheel or via Shiranui Samurai(Giving you a plus one hand or graveyard advantage, which usually allows you to tip the balance on your favor). Well, it has surely been a nice month facing new decks with a full-powered Shiranui(I hope the deck wouldn't fade away into non-existence once ban list is implemented). Anyhow, I wish you all good luck and see you next season hopefully(I may get busy though but yeah, let's just see how it goes). Ciao!

Nothing special. The deck has an amazing huge toolbox and out to almost everything in the Meta game alongside ways to be saved from possible OTK's with cards like Bacon Saver and Kiteroid. Moreover, this build with this skill bricks very difficult. The most difficult Matchup for me sometimes was Dark Magicians because if you don't open correctly you easily can fall behind to their explosiveness.

Lagaz | Level Augmentation | Mar 27 |
A comment from Lagaz:
Note:
For Shiranui after the new banlist, I found this version to perform the best against the current meta. As “That Grass Looks Greener” is now limited, we have to go back to the 20-card deck.
Skill: Shiranui can now run virtually without skill, choosing a skill only further open new possibilities for the deck. Currently, the best skills are “Mighty as Fire” for extra ATK, as it pairs well with Cosmic Cyclone, or “No Mortal Can Resist”, to highly disrupt enemy’s play, as this skill literally kills off every single meta deck right now, if you choose it then it is advised to run more back row for more control-oriented plays. For me, I stick to “Level Augmentation”, it allows for turboing a Sunsaga from your first turn, which I found to be crucial in Blue-eyes matchup.
Backrow: For most matchups, I can say that your win chance is often decided by your tech cards, which fortunately Shiranui can run quite many. Raigeki Break would be my MVP, as it can be a great setup (Sending your Spectralsword to grave) or combo extender and also being able to pop a card, generating a +1 advantage. Also I recommend getting some more copies of Divine Wrath in this monster effect heavy meta if you go for a control-oriented deck. Golden Sarcophagus would be crucial in winning certain matchups, such as Dark Magician and Elementsabers. If you don’t have it, Sphere Kuriboh, Forbidden Lance or another Floodgate would suffice. Finally, with the release of the new mini box, Ballista Squad would be a nice addition.
Final advice, a good Shiranui deck is like a toolbox, it is not like a typical deck with a go-to formula or certain win conditions. You adapt to the situation as the deck would have all tools you need. So play safe and think about all possibilities before doing anything!

A comment from SirSvogalot:
I took the Dagonecro Shiranui deck recipe from your Website and changed it a bit, due to a lack of access to various cards.
I really wanted to have Monstereffect-negation so I replaced 1 fiendish chain with 1 forbidden chalice and added 2 paleozoic Canadian as for pseudo-negation and booking the Tuners.
I used to run 3 copies of Raigeki Break but I realized that you dont have that often material u want to discard.. so I cut it to 2 copies.
Since your Deck recipe suggests 2 cosmic cyclones I tried to replace 1 with unending Nightmare, to deal with the dark magical circles but it turned out that the permanent trap has literally no use against other meta decks so I cut it out.
Hardest match-up I guess is the one against Lunalights thanks to their Sabredancer. The only outs against that boss Monster are the wall of disruption and Dragonecro Nethersoul Dragon. In my opinion, too few options, that's why the only thing I would change is to replace 1-2 Canadian with 1-2 waterhole-trapholes. If extra deck size is going to increase I would definitely run another copy of Dragon’s Mirror.
Deck strategy is basically to go first and normal summon solitaire to use its effect to get him in the grave and shiranui spectral Sword to the field. Best additional condition are some set backrow Cards like cosmic Cyclone or raigeki break to deal with opponents backrow in their end Phase. Otherwise you have to use shiranui Squire next turn to summon squiresaga to destroy one backrow-card. Hopefully the Opponent destroys spectral sword by battle with a Monster not stronger than 2000 atk. If he does, all the criteria is given to go for shogunsaga-OTK. To do so you have to use spectralswords graveyard-effect to banish solitaire and himself to summon samuraisaga. Then solitaires effect will trigger to Special summon the banished spectralsword back to the field. Synchro summon Shogunsaga and use its effect to banish samuraisaga whose effect will trigger to decrease one opponents Monster by 500. In the end you attack with a shogunsaga with 5500 atk the opponents Monster with a maximum of 1500 atk, hopefully.
To protect myself from getting OTK’ed i used the skill „Grit“, which was often a good choice, since the decks main strategy is to set everything up for the OTK.

Just sharing my kog deck. I am actually surprised this deck is not tiered as Super Heavy Samurai is one of the most balanced decks I have played. The weaknesses I could only see of this deck is opponents with banishing decks and one great weakness is it cannot be mixed with any other archetype cards.

A comment from Str8Hardcore:
It was surprisingly easy to reach KOG with this Deck.
I mostly used the combo where I wipe out the back row with Shutendoji and then finished it with Stealth Ninja. Sometimes its enough to go direct attack with Ninja, equipped with Soulshield Wall and Soulhorns.
I only used Musashi to summon Ninja and I needed Kyubi just once, I think.
Baggy Sleeves works perfectly with Vajra and you can combine it with Gigagloves.
I added Black Rose Dragon to nuke the Field, but remember, you have to Normal summon Trumpeter.

A comment from sunda empire:
Different from other SuperHeavy Samurai (SHS) Monster decks, I'm using Defense Charge skills instead of Level Augmentation because it will boost my attack power while also give me chance to stack up graveyard trap such as SHS Gigagloves and SHS Flutist by synchro summon process.
This strategy can counter most of any decks, you can negate Dark Magician Circle using Flutist, depleted any strong monster attack especially Cyberdark direct attack using Gigagloves and even winning without touching opponent monster using Lv 7 Synchro Stealth Ninja equipped with Soulshield Wall or Soulhorns. SHS Soulpiecemaker will give you consistency

Imagine using Subterrors in 2020. And yet, here my third KOG in 2020 with Subterrors. World Legacy Pawns really great addition to this deck: utilize frogs to their maximum potential. The only hard match is Cyber Dragons. Luckily I never saw them anymore from Leg. 3. Anything else is quite easy to deal with. Happy laddering, F2P brethren!

A comment from Sickmanfudo:
The focus of the deck is to summon Thunder Dragonuo which is why I play Batteryman solar over "Aloof Lupine". In this deck, BM solar is way more consistent with my deck's main combo. Plus he is a thunder type monster so he interacts with the trap of the deck and Dragonmatrix, which does come up. Artifact vajra is broken with the skill baggy sleeves which is the only DEF of the deck.

Felicia | Shadow Game | Mar 14 |
A comment from Felicia:
Note: All the Yosenjus has a purpose in this deck. Your main goal is to have as many cards as possible. abuse the system with Izna first then try and get more cards with #3 effect. Oyam is really good for defense when your opponent monsters original attack stat. Lava Golem is for situations when you cant target monsters.
Kite is really good when you get one in the starting hand. With the Meta, I have come across a lot of Light and Dark monsters, about like 80 percent of the time, I use the two Mirrors to automatically shut down there decks. I love it when they have to pay anything with there life points, it just makes the job easier when the skill is set on Shadow Game.
