Fur Hire: deck recipe [Oct 2019 Updated]

Duel Links Breaking News
Yubel event guide!
update 17/10/2019

Overview

The strategy of Fur Hires is to swarm the field with monsters of their archetype. While these monsters are relatively lacking in raw stats, they make up for it with their amazing effects that reward you for special summoning more Fur Hire monsters.

How to Use

Beat, Bladesman Fur Hire

During your Main Phase, Beat and all the other Level 4 or lower “Fur Hire” monsters allow you to Special Summon another “Fur Hire” monster from your hand. When another “Fur Hire” monster is Special Summoned, Beat allows you to add 1 “Fur Hire” monster from your Deck to your hand (except Beat, Bladesman Fur Hire). Normal Summon Beat, Special Summon any other Level 4 or lower “Fur Hire” monster, search Dyna, Hero Fur Hire or Wiz, Sage Fur Hire.

Donpa, Marksman Fur Hire

When another “Fur Hire” monster is Special Summoned, Donpa allows you to target a face-up card on the field and destroy it. Since both Donpa and Wiz, Sage Fur Hire are currently Semi-Limited, in order to play both, we are only allowed to run one copy of each. Special Summon Donpa via Beat or any other Level 4 or lower “Fur Hire” monster, use

Recon, Scout Fur Hire

When another “Fur Hire” monster is Special Summoned, Recon allows you to target a Set card on the field and destroy it. With Beat and Recon, you can get rid of pretty much any card on your opponent’s side of the field that can be targeted and destroyed by card effects, leading to an early OTK.

Seal, Strategist Fur Hire

When another “Fur Hire” monster is Special Summoned, Seal allows you to target a “Fur Hire” monster in your Graveyard and add it to your hand. The last Level 4 or lower “Fur Hire” monster gives you the ability to retrieve your only copy of Donpa, Dyna, and Wiz. Seal synergizes well with Wiz, Sage Fur Hire in particular since the Level 7 Spellcaster requires you to discard in order to activate its effect.

Dyna, Hero Fur Hire

Dyna’s effect used to be fairly marginal, something that, if you were not careful, could have just ended up enabling your opponent’s second Treacherous Trap Hole, but being able to remove cards from your opponent’s Graveyard right now is extremely valuable. You can Special Summon Dyna via Seal, Beat, Donpa or Recon, or via Mayhem Fur Hire and banish up to 3 cards from your opponent’s Graveyard.

Wiz, Sage Fur Hire

Wiz gives you the ability to interact with your opponent during their turn, allowing you to negate cards like Neos Fusion, Darklord Contact, and Shien's Dojo by simply discarding 1 card.

Monster Gate

Monster Gate, which was previously played in order to get around Floodgate Trap Hole, Paleozoic Canadia, and Forbidden Chalice, is used primarily to bypass The Sanctified Darklord.

Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror

This Continuous Trap will prevent Desperado Barrel Dragon, Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En, Aleister the Invoker, and Keeper of Dragon Magic from activating their effects.

Mayhem Fur Hire

This card is a great defensive tool. It can special summon one Fur Hire monster from your graveyard in defense position. This can stop you from taking damage or force your opponent to change attack targets. It will also trigger your Fur Hire monster's effects when you special summon a monster off of it. This enables you to use Donpa and Recon's destruction effects on your opponent's turn.

Battle Protection

Fur Hires have overall very weak stats which makes them very vulnerable during your opponent's battle phase unless you have some good battle protection. Widespread Ruin destroys your opponent's strongest monster when your opponent declares an attack with any of his monsters. Wall of Disruption debuffs all your opponent's attack position monsters when one of them declares an attack. This debuff is significant enough for even Fur Hires to beat them.

Paleozoic Canadia

Paleozoic Canadia can be used to negate some effects by flipping your opponent's monsters face-down. You can protect your monters by changing your opponent's battle position when they attack. And lastly, Paleozoic Canadia can be another body on your field when a Trap card is activated while Paleozoic Canadia is in your graveyard.

Mokuba Kaiba (DSOD)
Mokuba Kaiba (DSOD)

Having only 3 Monster Zones has always been a great limitation for this deck, but now, thanks to this Skill, you can return a “Fur Hire” monster to your hand and open up space for another Special Summon. You can also use See You Later! to return a monster to your hand to discard in order to activate Wiz’s effect, or to set up a play for your next turn.

I think I have a serious question for the haters of this deck. What is the point of releasing new decks if you are not going to play with them?, sylvans came out, you didn't play them, amazoness were released, you didn't play them either, and now these cats "fur hire" arrived and you still complain. What do you want?, perhaps you want a very exclusive deck, highly expensive, but then you'll have the excuse to call duel links "pay to win". It seems to me, that the most noob among noobs want to condition people's opinion, our opinion. The deck is cool and fun to play and also not very expensive.

y'know... I call "BROKEN" a deck with 3 cyclone/canadia/floodgate.
Just my opinion.
Oh! and btw, I don't play furries yet bcuz I only have 1 beat so far =/

Card limitation is not a problem.
Nerf is not a problem
The PROBLEM IS the "komoney wants your wallet" people, the ones who try to ruin this game, the ones trying to manipulate your mind, trying to make you think the game is awful, etc.

It's definitely the number of second chances they get.

Yes the spellbook deck has a weakness so does fur hire the point is you have to DRAW it. You can say sure it has counters but even if you draw it you still lose. Where as for them they just steamroll you. When I play against Masked Hero it's so easy to beat them because you have to know when to go for Anki which most don't and get rekt.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Now if Masked hero anki was IMMUNE to all spell effects or traps or something. Then yes it would be a brainless deck but he's very vulnerable to everything so it's easy to beat most masked hero players.

I wonder if the people who hated sylvans and amazoness are the very same who hate this little cat.
If so, well... what a bunch of wimps lol
Because this deck is easily counterable.
But those haters just want to find any excuse to hate the game, that's pretty lame.

How could this deck be op, if you can counter it with chalices, floodgates, canadias and divine wrath??? there are plenty of options to negate the first summon effect :o

Fur Hire......a more brainless deck than Sylvans. Literally all Sylvan players just switched over to Fur Hire. Me special summon more fur rats....me hit yes....me win.....

This deck is broken and is exactly why I uninstalled the game. I got to gold rank and ya I can counter it 70% of the time but i don't have time to buy really good cards and am stuck with an archfiend deck. Which is a great deck. Pay to win is too prevalent in this game when all the rich bois have every fur hire card. Just brainless and annoying
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Fur hire is a super f2p deck that everyone can afford. If anything, archfiend is a much much more expensive than fur hire.

F2P Reply
As a F2P player who wants to be competitive, you need to carefully choose the boxes to invest in. Miniboxes are usually the way to go. I have not missed a single seasin without getting KoG ever since I started playing the game and still have around 8k gems saved for the next minibox. It's all about when to save and when or where to invest.

HOw to counter this 🔥?

Sorry Reply
Dakini also had counterplay at that time. And she was tier 0.
The mechanics of Fur Hire is by far the front of what we have available today after the nerf for "balancing" of decks.

Here is the problem:
> I build strong deck(original ideas) and this is working against most people, happy days.
> Along comes fur hire ... and oh wait, I dnt have FTH, TT, Chalice or Prov and I have lost
> Change deck to cater for this, beats fur hire ... looses to others.

This deck is too easy to play, you dont need skill, just choose "Destroy face up or down card". Easy, no skill

Honestly I now you guys noticed this for awhile now but the community here is kind of toxic, this deck is actually pretty counterable after playing it for awhile because of the limited 3 monster slot if you dont use your goddamn beater deck, I just feel like people just hates everything good that comes out

I actually love fur hires, don't think they are op at all; for those who said they are all over the game, it's just because they are new. There's always going to be a "new" deck that is popular in the same month of its release. As simple as that.

What would happen if konani nerf fur hires??
The meta will become
Masked Hero with 3 vyon
Silent Magician
Cyberdark
And tier0 Cyber Dragon
Wtf! Why this happen to f2p???
Konani is working to 🔥 all f2p dudes.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
That's why they are Tier 1 decks, though.
Fur Hire just happens to be more explosive in nature, making it Tier 0.

If they are that easy to counter they won't be Tier 1/Tier 0 lmao
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
That's the point. You can't expect a consistent counter against strong decks. That applies to all tier 1 decks and not just Fur Hire. If Silent Magician were the ones in the minibox and Fur Hires are the ones hidden behind a paywall, we would see a lot of people complain about Silent Spellbooks being rampant instead. F2P decks like Naturia, CA, Aliens, Sylvan were also treated as 🔥 before
