Pros

  • Able to Special Summon another “Fur Hire” monster from your Hand during your Main Phase, except itself.
  • Able to destroy 1 set card on either side of the Field (including set monster), when another “Fur Hire” monster was Special Summoned to your side of the Field, except during damage step, and while you control this monster.

Cons

  • You can only each of its effects, once per turn.
  • Weak ATK and DEF stats.

Tips

  • You should prioritize Wiz when Special Summoning using Recon’s effect, as Wiz is able to negate opponent’s Spell/Trap effects activation which may buy you time to get Dyna out. You can also protect Recon by using cards like Enemy Controller, Super Rush Headlong, Windstorm of Etaqua and even Curse of Anubis.
  • Most Fur Hire monsters can be Special Summoned back from the Graveyard by using Powerful Rebirth, except Dyna and Wiz. You can use Mayhem Fur Hire to Special Summon Dyna and Wiz instead.

Fur Hire Archetype

Recon is able to Special summon any of the listed Fur Hire Archetype monsters from your Hand. If you choose to Special Summon Donpa, Beat or Seal, their individual effects also allows you to Special Summon another “Fur Hire” monster from your Hand (except themselves), effectively swarming your Field in 1 turn. If you Special Summon Dyna or Wiz, you will be able to trigger their effects, for Dyna when it is Special Summoned, you can banish a number of cards in your opponent’s Graveyard equivalent to the number of “Fur Hire” monsters you control with different names. Dyna also effectively protects all your other “Fur Hire” monsters as your opponent can only select Dyna as attack target. As for Wiz, you gain 500 LP for each “Fur Hire” monsters you control, when it was Special Summoned. Besides having an overwhelming defense stat, Wiz can negate your opponent’s Spell/Trap or effect once during either player’s turn, by discarding a “Fur Hire” card from your Hand.

Fur Hire Support

Mayhem Fur Hire allows you to Special Summon 1 “Fur Hire” monster from your Graveyard to the Field in Defense position. Training Fur Hire, Fur All Your Training Needs allows you to Special Summon another “Fur Hire” monster from your Deck, with 1 level lower than the “Fur Hire” monster destroyed by battle or card effect.

You summon Recon and the game itself starts asking questions. I know it's hard for many players to answer these follow up question, but just hit that "YES" button. If all works well, in two to three turns, game announces your victory.
Great 🔥ing deck, GG Konami!

I have 3 of all fur hire monsters ;)

why is this card still destroying my targeted traps after flipping them face up, am I missing something in the wording?

Recon's text says "destroy it" instead of "destroy the target".

That means Recon's effect doesn't care what happened to the target.

If an effect says "destroy the target" then the target must still be in the same condition at the time the effect resolves.

If the effect just says "destroy it", then the effect would still apply even if something happened to the card.

This also applies to effects that banish or return a card to hand/deck, not just destroy.

"the target" = targeted card's condition must be correct during resolution.

"it" = targeted card's condition does not have to be the same as when it was first targeted.

Only exception to this, is if the card changes location.

For example, Monster Reborn uses "it", but MR won't special summon the target if the target's location already changes during resolution. Let's say you activate MR and your opponent chained with a card that banished the MR target. MR won't special summon the target anymore.

Recon's stats doesn't really matter considering how the deck works.

Outside of mirror force and it's other counterparts, this card is also one of the best traps...
They should release this card but make it so that you can only activate it once per week per acco...
Noah is in the game. But you have to unlock Atticus (GX) first before you can unlock him.
