Masked Heroes aren't brainless. They just have a offensive style, but they are pretty fair. Amazoness, on the other hand, has a cheap banish removal and a monster that makes them all unable to be destroyed by battle.
If you think you can win by just activating Mask Change, you're stupid. Anki may be a 2800 atk beater, but he has no immunity to any kind of effect or destruction.
Amazoness, on the other hand, are really brainless. Queen protects everyone from battle, and Onslaught straight up banishes everything, no cost needed. Not to mention that nasty Baby Tiger as an easy-to-spam extra summon.
First, you can fusion summon other monsters, depending on the situation. Second, just activating Mask Change won't give you a win. Anki has a huge attack and can attack directly, but he has no immunity to destruction, changing battle position or any other kind of obstacle. You need more than just Mask Change to win. You need something to deal with backrow and monster effects.
And considering you won't have every single card needed in your hand to deal with every single obstacle, you need to pay attention to your opponent's strategy to know when to attack, and what you should attack.
The only Masked HERO variant that can be considered brainless is the Titan Showdown one. It exploits a bug to 🔥 you with only one direct attack from Anki, no other cost needed (like having to waste a Chalice) besides Titan Showdown's trigger condition.
Also, all arguments that you just presented is valid for every single deck (excluding sylvan, of course). Even amazoness needs to deal with backrows too.
I remember you said on the spellbook page that spellbook doesn't need skill but now here you are trying to convince us that masked hero, one of the eadiest deck to play needs skill? lmao
Only one that's brainless here is you. Stop spewing nonsense. You're embarassing yourself. Spamming Mask Change can in fact win a game. Most Masked Hero decks run Trunade or CC so they need not worry about backrow most times. I wouldn't go so far to call it brainless, but it is pretty simple to use.
It is not brainless, but let's not pretend that it is that much skillful compared to the other meta decks out there. Spamming any card without waiting for the proper timing could lose you a game in any deck, no matter how simple the deck. That is a basic skill in Yugioh.
Well it has similar playstyle swarm and pop. It is easy to master but its not brainless as a missplay in current meta is punished really hard since nowadays its very unforgiving meta so you definitely still need your brain when playing it. To call any deck brainless its just not quite appropriate in my opinion just because the deck is easy to master.
I disagree on the Spellbook part. Spellbooks is all about using SB of Fate again and again. A spot removal card that banishes and doesn't even target. It isn't skillful just because you have to play lots os spells before that. In fact, One of the most annoying things about Spellbooks and Sylvans is the fact the their turns are long as hell.
Also, Masked Hero works against the actual meta mostly because they are also OTK focused. Some very simple staple backrow cards, such as Super Rush Headlong, can punish them very easily. But that kind of backrow is absent on most meta decks nowadays, besides Geargia.
Also, Spellbooks would be fair if it wasn't for Silent Magician addition. Although they would still be slow and boring to face.
Most backrow cards are most useful if you also have a monster on the field (Super Rush Headlong, Mirror Wall, and others), and amazoness just straight up banishes them, ignoring any kind of graveyard effect and bypassing any kind of immunity to destruction. With pretty much means that your backrow can't do much do actually damage them.
When excavating cards, it takes a load of time. As if the deck's alternative win method is making you surrender out of boredom. The same applies to Spellbooks.
What are u talking about? U talk funny. No offense but u r saying rookie stuff. The excavates dont take so much time. It takes time if u dont tap the screen or want to read the xcavated card. Sylvans were way faster than sb.
Actually, Amazoness maybe wouldn't be so annoying if it wasn't for Princess. It searches Onslaught from your deck and enables you to special summon any Amazoness monster from your deck by just sending a card you control to the graveyard. All other decks (Sylvans, Geargias, Masked Hero, Fur Hires, Archfiends, you name it) can't get that much board control so easily without losing card advantage.
Ok dude think what u think is truth. But ask anyone else they ll tell u the same. In fact ppl were reporting sylvan otk on turn 2/3. So definitely they were fast as hell.
I'm not talking about number of turns. I'm talking about how much a turn lasts, having to wait the exacavating animation and every single Sylvan effect being popped individually.
This in my opinion are the most thinker deck to the most brainless in the meta
