Legacy Duel

"Legacy Duels" is a mode in which most of the available cards and characters are those from original "Yu-Gi-Oh!" anime.

Note: Even players who don't have some cards and characters that can be used in this mode will be able to participate by using exclusive Loaner Decks.

Build the Event Deck!

The Cards and Skills that can be used in Legacy Duels will be based on a special Forbidden/Limited List. Build an exclusive Deck from the Event Deck Page. Besides that, Exclusive Loaner Decks will be available for All Players.

EX Skill Utilize

The following EX Skill: Advance Drive is available in the Legacy Duels for players to take advantage of it to Tribute Summon Ace Monster!

Advance Drive
Can be used twice per Duel. During this turn, you can perform 1 Tribute Summon during your Main Phase in addition to your regular Normal Summon/Set.

The ex skill advance drive is for every character but some loaners don't have a big monster that can be normal summoned lol

I really don't know how people can appreciate this event. This is the worst event I saw in over 3 years.
Even gems can't get me to play it.

1) Nostalgia. People who have played oldschool yugioh or just the first days of duel links will enjoy because of nostalgia

2) It's something different. You can't use your normal deck and you have to get creative.

3) You can use cards that you would never use otherwise. It gives those cards a purpose.

One of the coolest events we had so far. Hope they keep this event forever and possibly add some more anime-only cards and ofc more limits to keep it balanced.
If they make it like an alternative extra kog mode it will give a reason of existance to all the outdated, useless power crept cards to shine once again. This will also give some vallue to old boxes and some income to konami, since it will push sales on old boxes that none buys atm.
Ofc, as long as ko lnami doesnt mess up with it it.

Normal duels BEWD: a vanilla that in most cases will end up as a synchro/xyz material or get destroyed as soon as it hits the field.

The mai loaner deck can't even use the ex skill it has no lvl 5 or higher monster that can be tribute summoned lol

Many of them are viable, there isn't one dominating over the others at the moment. But if you want specifics, I've heard Mai, Mako, Yugi, Kaiba and Bonz are doing quite alright.
