Tag Duel Opponent's Decklists

Event information

Announced at 8 Jan 2019, the Tag Duel Tournament is back again! You can earn tag coins to draw from the lottery which can get Exclusive Reward Cards as last time but this time, you can Tag Duel alongside "Yugioh 5D's" Characters.

How to Play

  • Duel in Duel World and Ranked DUel to obtain Frienship Letters
  • Use Friendship Letters to Tag Duel
  • Obtain Tag Coins by Tag Dueling
  • Save up your Tag Coins to draw from the lottery
  • Obtain Completion Rewards by winning Tag Duels

Features

Difficulty levels

  • You can now choose the difficulty of your opponent's team before Tag Dueling them.
  • If you win the Tag Duel at a higher difficulty, you will receive a bonus on your Duel Assessment.

Tag partners can be controlled

  • You can now manually control your tag partner for tournaments you have won.
  • Manual control can be turned on and off from your partner's Deck screen.

Free lottery

Once a day you can draw from the lottery 10 times for free.

Tournament selection screen

You can select which tournament to enter from the "Change Cup" button in the upper-left corner of the event page.

Friendship Letters

  • You need Friendship Letters to enter in the Tag Duel Tournament
  • Friendship Letters can be obtained by Dueling in Duel World or Ranked Duel

Dark Magician Cup

The Dark Magician Cup has been unlocked after 10 Jan 2018 13:00 if you have complete the Neos Cup.

Duel Challengers

There is a chance that Challengers will appear after a Tag Duel. If you duel against Challengers, you will have high coin multiplier than usual to obtain alot of Lottery Coins.

Note: Dueling against Challengers doesn't require Friendship Letters.

  • Duels against Challengers will have a higher coin multiplier than usual, making it a prime opportunity to obtain lots of Tag Coins.
  • Challengers will disappear after a set period of time, so make sure not to miss the opportunity.
  • Duels against Challengers does not require Friendship Letters.

Tag Coins

  • You can obtain Tag Coins by Tag Dueling. Tag Coins can be used at the lottery to obtain cards and items.
  • The higher your Duel Assessment score, the more Tag Coins you get.
  • In addition, your Tag Coin Multiplier will increase at higher difficulties.
  • Players recieve 1 Tag Coin per 100 Duel Assessment score (max. 80)

I won every duel 0 losses through the whole thing, I even autoduel the final on hard joey never drew time wizard one but he was good with trap cards

Auto dueling is wasting the letters. 12 letterS could only produce 75-90 coins.

I wouldn't suggest farming yet.
Wait until the Master level is unlocked, save your letters in the meantime.

From 3k coin, in average I got 90 gems. Can't complain though sr/ur rates kinda is bad.

there was a complaint from players in the past that the AI attacks with the highest attack first, so konami adjusted that by letting the AI only attack with the lowest attack monster if it's above a certain attack points.. however this doesn't apply to joey, i mean duel a lvl 20 or 30 at the gate they are smarter than him..

Exactly, why would he use Shield and Sword card, then use my dragon with 200 ATK to try to destroy a face down monster card (that was the only card on the opponent's side).

I had the game won.

Tagged with joey vs mai and tea:
So, tea and mai got 2 monsters on the field.
i summoned RA with 10,7K atk, (left me with 100 lp), then double summon vorse raider, and attacked 2 of their monsters.
Next turn, Mai set a card facedown (which is kujakujaku).
On joey's turn, he summon the most OP monster, TIME WIZARD!, then instead of attacked with vorse raider, he attacked with TIME WIZARD. Aand we lose. Such a smart AI didn't he? lol

Yeah...he ALWAYS attacks with the lowest ATK monster on set cards. Like Kidmodo Dragon. Come on...who is that card going to kill?!
8k score at least
Similar to others RA deck but I am using Slifer with Last Gamble instead. Reason is we must OTK the opponent otherwise Joey might screw up next turn. Last gamble works well with Slifer but not RA. LP on the blink is essential since it gives 3k score. I use Last gamble when either Joey or the opponents can't stall anymore and discard cursed bamboo. Storm is to clear our back row if Joey has 2 cards OR lure Odion to use his Traps (he uses chain reaction!)
If you have more "into the voids" or "dark world dealings" well its just much easier.

PS: I used Slifer over RA becus sometimes if you lost some LP, RA isn't enough to OTK
