  • Equips 1 Equip Spell from your Graveyard to any applicable monster.

  • You need to have Equip Spell in your Graveyard in order to use this card.

  • Gearfried the Iron Knight is not mandatory since the Equip card will be destroyed during the End Phase.
  • You can also add in Release Restraint Wave to destroy your own Equip card to destroy all set Spell/Trap on the field, thus sending your Equip cards to the Graveyard.
  • You can tech in Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu to draw your Equip Spells faster from your Deck.

Equip Spells

These are the recommended Equip Spells to be used together with Swords at Dawn. You can bring back Black Pendant and Smoke Grenade of the Thief, where Black Pendant will deal another 500 LP damage to your opponent once it is destroyed during the End Phase, and Smoke Grenade of the Thief lets you discard any card from your opponent’s hand. You can also bring back Big Bang Shot to equip to your opponent’s monster, and it will be banished during the End Phase when Big Bang Shot is destroyed. You can bring back Supervise from the Graveyard and equip to your own Gemini monster, and when Supervise is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 Gemini monster from your Graveyard. During the Damage Step, you can equip Mask of Brutality from the Graveyard to your monster to instantly increase 1000 ATK, and destroy the equip during the End Phase so you don’t have to pay any LP to maintain it. You can equip Magic Formula to your “Dark Magician” or “Dark Magician Girl”, then during the End Phase you gain another 1000 LP after this card is sent to the Graveyard.

Not just that, but if you bring back Big Bang Shot in midst of your opponent attacking your defense position monster, the piercing damage is dealt to them. Really fun stuff.
Pretty good in knoble knights
you can use this in a noble nights deck
swords at dawn brings out supervise , but when supervise goes to grave, it does not summon a normal monster?? can anyone confirm if this rulling is correct or bugged ?

Tips say use with supervise but, this cards ruling says you can special summon during the turn? Can anyone clarify how/if it works

Currently using this in a Cerberus deck, but it won't let me play the card during any part of my turn to get Bamboo Sword back. Not understanding why.

Is your field already full? You need two spaces to get the equip spell back.
I can spot this Grepher guy in several cards, he seems somewhat special.

There are a bunch of different stories that are told via card art. Eg, 'Destruction Sword', the 'Gigo' cards etc.
Another xyz other than release restraint wave!
