Pros

  • 500 attack increase even if you don’t control other spell/trap card, which can be further increased by 1500 if you have other spell/trap cards, and it’s not limited to a specific monster type/attribute.

Cons

  • Only increases attack and comes with no protection effects.
  • Needs other spell/trap cards for a significant attack boost.

Tips

Maha Vailo

Maha Vailo can get a big attack increase due its effect. With 1 Mage Power equip alone already makes Maha Vailo at 2550 attack. You can also use Yami Yugi’s skill Power of Dark (skill) to have Yami at the start of the duel, which will increase Maha’s attack by an additional 700 for a total of 3250 attack level 4 monster.

Equip Supports

If your deck has plenty of equip cards, you can use Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu for a search to get a specific equip card in your deck. Vylon Ohm lets you re-use your equip cards if they are in your graveyard. Using Mage Power with Spikeshield will increase your monster by an additional +1000 ATK, and a high DEF increase if your monster is switched to defense and attacked.

Holy cow this card + tenkabito and Balance is freaking brutal. Huge chances to win even against reactor dragon and koa'ki meiru. Especially if you go 2nd.

Hmm, maha vailo with 3 of these and yami = 1550+1500+200+2000x3=9250 atk...

Broken card much? This makes any weakass monster instantly a massive powerhouse with 3500 attack AND defense, so it's indestructible by battle.

PvP just forces me to play as AG.

Which doesn't even matter, since most of the meta decks relies on monster removal with card effects

Yeah, super broken. Best card in rookie rank by far.

Cons "Only increases attack and comes with no protection effects." Excuse me but the card increases attack AND defense, please fix GameA

Nope. "Protection" doesn't necessarily mean defense. You can call it protection if it protects your cards from being destroyed

"The equipped monster gains 500 ATK AND DEF for each Spell/Trap Card you control." I know high stats don't always equal a good defense but it does increase defense (aka DEF) nonetheless

Protection as in to destroy the card instead of the minion, of effects that activate when the card is destroyed... Smh
Mahavaillo
This one is actually very good in plenty of decks, now that Morphtronics have been added I think it's useful with them as well just as axe or despair or even gravity blaster.

I wonder if playing one jinzo + 3 Junkbox for special summon.

Dunno, it could work... who knows... 1 Jinzo and only 3-4 Equip spells + 3Junkbox

Ah, ol' classic card. 1k equip like Axe of Despair way better on this format than this/United we Stand.

With how many popular cards that negate attacks by switching to defense position, the boost to def is actually pretty important.

Need 2 of this for Vylon OTK.

This one is insane with power tool dragon, omg easy otk

Yep, rip this game. At least in link format of dl this card isn't as strong as ocg.
