Notes

Usually you pass the first turn if you go first. This is so you can Special Summon Toon Cyber Dragon and Earth Armor Ninja.
The first Synchro you make should be a level-8 monster using Toon Cyber Dragon/Earth Armor Ninja and a level-3 Tuner as materials.
You can make your second Synchro monster with The Tricky and a level-3 Tuner to make a level-8. Or you can use Trident Warrior with a level-3 Tuner to make a level-7. Trident Warrior with Delta Fly can make level-8.
Flare Resonator boosts the attack of the Synchro monster you make with him as material.
Battle Tuned lets you banish a Tuner from the graveyard and boost your monster's attack. Use this on a Signer Dragon to triple the damage.
King's Consonance is good against Kalin's Infernity Archer, basically negating the attack and giving you a free Synchro monster.

Tips

Sylvan monsters let you setup your plays by putting monsters in your graveyard. Particularly setting Sylvan Komushroomo is a good first turn move because he can excavate 5 cards from your deck.
You want to get Spore and World Carrotweight Champion in your graveyard so they can be Special Summoned.
Use Spore with World Carrotweight Champion or Naturia Rosewhip with Sylvan Komushroomo to make a level-5 Synchro monster.
Naturia Rosewhip and World Carrotweight Champion will be used to make a level-7 Synchro monster. You can also use Sylvan Guardioak with Spore.
Making a level-8 Synchro monster can be done with Sylvan Marshalleaf, Dark Verger, and Naturia Rosewhip. You can use Naturia Rosewhip with a level-5 Synchro monster, or Spore with a level-7 Synchro monster.
Fairy Meteor Crush lets your Synchro monsters do piercing damage letting you maximize damage. Big Bang Shot can also be used, and also give an attack boost.
Vermillion Mech Dragon is only worth making when using Sylvan Hermitree and Spore as materials.

Does anyone else hate that Kalin just forcibly ends the duel after 10 turns? You only have 5 turns for damage and sometimes you don't even get a chance to lower his LP since he just stalls. It honestly takes the fun out of this event.

I kinda like it. Gives an excuse to go with over the top aggressive plays, and it's kinda required for the "assist" feature to be useful. I tend to find most of the duels where it comes into play were either probably going to be a loss anyway, or somewhere I opened a poor hand and fell just short.

What do I need to help make my deck more consistent? Usually Archfiend ends up with 4k ATK and Kalin stalls. I'm out of gems completely but could shell $10-15 if it ended up with a deck that could guaranteed get me 3x of every card in this event

It's absolutely possible. Does not even require a perfect hand.

Warm Worm x Chain Destruction x Assault on GHQ
plus Shadow Scout, Cup of Ace or DW Dealings

Technically possible to mill 20 cards in your 3rd turn

Is it only me or the Kalin AI sometimes actually takes ages to "think" which card/effect to play. It is annoying he could take 2 mins to "think" for a turn

I think it happens to everyone, as every time his LP became low enough like less than 10000 lp, the AI might "thinking" about the best move for those turns, although this only happens if his starting LP was high enough like 20000 LP or more.

You cant get hundred eye dragonn if you go like that.
The only way to get HED is by doing a total of 860000 point of cumulative damage

Now if only there was a deck strong enough to take out Kalin's strongest decks. Thing is, it's kinda hard to do over like 50K damage to him in only 5 turns. As someone who prefers solo play, this event frustrates me to no end, as I have to rely on others to do my work for me, rather than being good enough to survive on my own.

Did you miss the part where summoning even ONE synchro with that deck was a challenge? Especially compared to other synchro-spam decks?

a warrior synchro deck with hermos is capable of doing it sometimes

Syncro summon "BLACK ROSE DRAGON". If you don't have use Akiza's skill mark of dragon. Then equip with "POWER OF THE GUARDIANS" and "THORN OF MALICE". It does piercing damage and doesn't destroy cards and attacked monster loses 600 attack and defence.

I ended up going with a Power Tool Dragon-based deck, and it's been working pretty well. The idea is to get Twin Swords, Power of the Guardians and Big Bang Shot/Fairy Meteor Crush onto it. (Its search effect MASSIVELY helping with that, hence why it over, say, BRD.)

I think the list probably still needs a little optimization, but it's basically like 3 Terratiger, 3 Dynatherium, 3 Power, Tryce and pierce equips, 4 Level 3 Normal Tuners (Genex Controller/Tune Warrior) and some filler.

Shame Power Tool isn't a Signer Dragon, the deck would be so, so much stronger. But I did do over 60k damage in one duel once, lol. (IIRC, I misplayed and could've done all 70kish.)
