To Tribute Summon this card face-up, you can Tribute Trap(s) you control, as well as monsters. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can destroy all Spells and Traps your opponent controls. You cannot Special Summon monsters during the turn you activate this effect, except "HERO" monsters.
You can Tribute Summon this card by using Traps you control, or Monsters you control.
Destroys all Spells and Traps your opponent controls when this monster is Normal Summoned.
Powerful ATK stats.
Cannot Special Summon other monsters except “HERO” monsters, during the turn its effect was activated.
This monster is recommended in Destiny HERO decks because of their proven draw power and Special Summon ability.
You can also use A Hero Emerges to Special Summon this monster from your Hand, but its effect will not be activated.
Using Vision HERO Vyon’s effect to search out this monster, banish Vision HERO Witch Raider from your Graveyard to search for Polymerization, and you can use Escape from the Dark Dimension to Special Summon Vision HERO Witch Raider from the Banished zone.
Using traps that are also considered monsters will grant you huge advantage due to the ability to quickly swarm the Field with enough Tributes for Vision HERO Witch Raider. Powerful Rebirth is another useful Trap to Special Summon a level 4 or lower monster from your Graveyard, and then be used as one of the Tributes to Summon Vision HERO Witch Raider.
You can pay 2000 LP to directly Normal Summon this monster to the Field, and subsequently destroy all Spell/Trap cards your opponent controls.
If you are using Vision HERO Witch Raider in Elemental Hero Deck, you can use O-Oversoul to Special Summon Elemental HERO Neos from your Graveyard to the Field for potential OTK. You can use HERO’s Bond to Special summon 2 level 4 or lower “Elemental HERO” monsters from your hand, after you have Normal Summoned Vision HERO Witch Raider. If you are playing Fusion Elemental HERO deck, you can Fusion Summon Elemental HERO Neos Knight to potentially clear off 2 of your opponent’s monster in 1 battle phase, making way for Vision HERO Witch Raider to direct attack. If you are using Vision HERO Witch Raider in Destiny Hero Deck, you can use D-Spirit to Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower “Destiny HERO” monster from your hand, while having Vision HERO Witch Raider on your Field. You can Fusion Summon Vision HERO Trinity to attack 3 times in a single Battle Phase, potentially wiping out all your opponent’s monsters.
Destiny Calling (Skill) Can be used after your Life Points are at 2000 or below. Play the Field Spell "Dark City." If there already is Field Spell on your side of the Field, return it to your hand. This skill can only be used once per Duel.
I've mentioned this in the past if you scroll down this page, but I'll say it again. He doesn't. He has lines for a lot of his manga and anime cards (even mausoleum of the emperor), but strangely enough, not for witch raider.
I used this in PvP against a Umi deck. As soon as I via trap sacrifice, opponent activated the stealth attack trap card, BUT didn’t activate its effect (they had a water monster ). The option to destroy other spells and traps didn’t even pop up.
I think they might have made you miss your activation timing. You see, something else happened before you can activate this card (i.e. SSA), so by the time you have the opportunity to use this card's effect... it is no longer "When" this card is Normal Summoned. When a card says "When", you need to activate it right after the condition is fulfilled. It's pretty tricky.
The wording on this card needs to be better or something because it's utterly stupid that special summons done before summoning her block her ability. Using the effect should disable special summons not the other way around.
(edit update) I just tried it, and sadly, it does NOT work. It doesn't matter whether witch raider destroys the spells/traps or not. It's a shame, because it would have been a good combo to kill an opponents monster along with their spells/traps.
That is the thing. I had thought that it would go off if they counted her destroy s/t as an effect, but it is just looked at as the tribute.
From the Amazons decks that I've gone up against this card fits in very well. Since they usually run 3 copies of Amazoness Onslaught as well as Amazoness Willpower they usually have enough to tribute this card.
