Card Effect TypeActivation requirement / Card effect / Condition
ArchetypesTrap Monster

Activate this card by declaring 1 Monster Type and 1 Attribute; Special Summon this card as a Normal Monster (Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 1000) with that Type and Attribute. (This card is also still a Trap Card.)

How to Get

Level-up reward--
Victory against--
Card trader
(Trader item)
  • UR Jewel x4
  • Stone of Trap x70
  • 110,000 Gold

  • Excellent substitute for any Fusion monster that requires a certain Type or Attribute as one of the Fusion materials.
  • Can also be used to quickly fill your field with additional monster.

  • This card is still a trap card, vulnerable to backrow card removal plays.

This card is considered as Trap card in Graveyard, therefore you cannot use Soul Resurrection, Birthright, or Powerful Rebirth to Special Summon it from the Graveyard.

Fusion Material

These are the Fusion monsters that allows 1 of the Fusion material to be either any Type or Attribute. With this flexibility, you can designate Swamp Mirrorer into the required Type or Attribute according to the Fusion Monster requirement and Fusion summon the monster.

Additional Utility

You can Special Summon Swamp Mirrorer, then proceed to use Ties of the Brethren to Special Summon 2 monsters from your Deck with same Type and Attribute as Swamp Mirrorer, but different name. This will quickly swarm your Field with monsters. Since Swamp Mirrorer is a Normal Monster, you can use Order to Charge to destroy it and destroy your opponent’s monster.

seems overall very useful but i'm struggling to think of a deck that could really make use of it.

It's useful in Watt decks because there aren't many good Level 4 Thunder monsters that you can special summon from your hand. But nobody is playing Watt
<< Anonymous

Watt still lacks a few cards I think, including their good Synchro, Wattchimera.

What about the hunders family?
<< Anonymous

hunders don't work in Watt decks because they only work for other Level 4 monsters. And you usually want to summon a low level Tuner.

And yeah, they're missing Chimera and some other important cards.

I actually meant playing Swamp Mirrorer in hunders XD

Since, you know, most of them have low ATK. Swamp Mirrorer has a decent 1800 ATK.
Anyway, anyone wondered why Konami loves to flood card-trader with these monster-trap cards? (not like anyone is playing them anyway) it's because you have only 3 trap spaces in DL.

I'm just waiting for the day they give us Imperial Custom or Statue with Anguish Pattern to break these things. :P Also waiting for the day they give Odion a Trap Monster to drop. How has he not gotten one. (He doesn't even have a LEVEL-UP one, just the Starter Apophis.) C'mon, Konami, give him Quantum Cat or... Wow, there aren't really any other options left we're likely to get from Odion...

I don't know how old that comment is, but it's amusing to read, now that we have both Quantum Cat and Statue with Anguish Pattern.
I wish the auto-duel AI would choose the right type when there's a field spell card on the field.
Why can't you choose Toon for this card??

Because toon is not a type nor an attribute
Am I missing something? How come I can only activate this card in my opponent's end phase? Yet other cards like Solemn Wishes I can as soon as they draw a card? Very confused here.

These are difference in chaining times. To get the best out of it, be sure to use the toggle button. If you press ON at your end phase, it will make sure that you get an opportunity to activate it during your opponent's draw phase.
New and new Cards say are in Card Trader and I get only old one which I have 3 or more from them useless this way the Trader ...
Weeks in and I still have not got this in the Card Trader....I check it consistently too so yeah #PrayForTheSufferingPlayers
This works alright with Gem-Knights since it lets you pick which Gem-Knight fusion you want. Play it with Pyroxene Fusion and you get some interesting plays where you can force your opponent to waste resources during the Battle Phase (eg. summon and attack with a regular Gem-Knight, opponent activates ECon, summon this guy and attack, opponent activates WoD, activate Pyroxene and fuse Swamp and Gem-Knight to get one of the Fusions out).

It looks like MTG typical art. Looks like the artist is american.

Like most modern TCG-exclusives, that's pretty likely. (I don't think we've ever had confirmation on anything except maybe the Noble Arms actually being done by American artists, though.)
