Divine Trial Guide (Battle City Showdown! Event)

Yami Yugi is quite easy to beat with his deck being full of low stat monsters and his fusion summoning being highly inconsistent. The only real threat he has is his skill Divine Advent, and even then only Obelisk the Tormentor is actually a threat. Therefore a regular beatdown deck filled with high attack monsters and traps should work fine.

• PvP decks with some form of non-targeting removal would work just fine. (i.e. Sea Stealth Attack, Amazoness Onslaught, Spellbook of Fate, Cyber Angel Dakini)

• Yami Yugi starts to summon his Egyptian Gods at turn 5, so if you can try to defeat him before that happens.
• Dark Paladin can also be a threat so it is best not to use Dragon-type monsters. And add lots splashable (i.e. Wall of Disruption, Mirror Wall, Curse of Anubis, Windstorm of Etaqua, etc.) of Trap cards to your deck as Dark Paladin is vulnerable to them.
• With Divine Advent, The Winged Dragon of Ra is summoned with 0 attack and Slifer the Sky Dragon, due to Divine Advent only being available during the 5th turn, is usually summoned with 2000 or less attack.

• None of these cards are essential. You can replace these monsters with any high attack Spellcaster or Fiend monster you already have. You can replace any Trap card with ones that you find useful for getting rid of Obelisk the Tormentor and other powerful monsters Yugi has.
• Keep summoning monsters and beatdown's monsters Yugi.
• End the Duel as quick as possible.
• When you monster is attacked use any of your Trap cards.

• You can use Fusion Gate to replace Fusion Sage.
• Most of the time you will be able to fusion summon Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem your first turn. If you do you, practically have already won.
• One of the weaknesses of this deck is if Yugi goes first and he summons Dark Paladin and has a card left in his hand, because he can negate your fusion spell. But sometimes if you are lucky you will draw 2 fusion spells you can use.
• The god card you should be worried about, if you do not defeat Yugi before turn 5, is Ra. But if you damage Yugi's LP enough he won't be able to activate Ra's destruction effect. Plus you also have a spare Ancient Gear Golem in the graveyard you can special summon when Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem is destroyed.

• The Core of this deck is Amazoness Queen, Amazoness Princess, and Amazoness Onslaught. Any other card can be replaced with other Amazoness monsters or generic defense cards.
• Amazoness Onslaught is all the removal you will ever need when battling Yugi so search it out by summoning Amazoness Princess.
• Amazoness Princess can then allow you to special summon Amazoness Queen from your deck, making all your Amazoness monsters immune to battle destruction.
• From here on all you need to do is keep attacking. You can crash into stronger monsters to remove them but be aware of your LP.
• Amazoness Swords Woman and Amazoness Fighter are able to attack stronger monsters without incuring battle damage. Additionally, Amazoness Swords Woman also gives your opponent the battle damage you would have taken.
• You can also add in Amazoness Fighting Spirit to this deck so that you can deal with more powerful monsters without incuring battle damage.
• Half Shut, Impenetrable attack, Amazoness Heirloom, and Intrigue Shield can also be used for battle protection in case you still dont have Amazoness Queen on the field.

• Try to win before Yugi uses Divine Advent as this deck has much difficulty dealing with Obelisk the Tormentor.
• The only way to deal with Obelisk is to Use Raging Mad Plants to raise your attack above 4000.
• 3 copies of Sylvan Komushroom is not really necessary but it helps. You can replace him with other Sylvan monster like Sylvan Flower Knight or Sylvan Bladefender.
• The best opening Play is to set Magical Merchant or Sylvan Komushroom. Do not set Magical Merchant if both of your Raging Mad Plants are in your hand.
• You can discard a Plant-type monster to special summon World Carrotweight Champion from your graveyard. The best target to discard is Rose Lover.
• Special summon Sylvan Hermitree with the effect of Rose Lover in your graveyard.
• Use Raging Mad Plants to boost attack for OTK.
